It's official,us,I mean.. but umm...I'll try not to reveal much here cos' I actually want this one to last...

Suffice to say,he treats me very very well and makes me feel very happy and love..:)..

At times it's hard cos' this is sort of long distance..So I'm trying to spend my time with him while he's here..hehe.

It's decided,today I filled up all the forms and stop my master's research for 1 semester & will continue with it next semester.It has been approved & signed.Truth be told,last year,in less than 2 weeks after I finish my last semester of degree,I got a job offer & also masters by research.And imagine the fact that my 5 years of studying for a degree ended in less than a month & I was thrown into the real world soon after.

Thus,I didn't catch a break.I started working mid June & my semester just ended in May.The only break that I got was a 3 day trip to Tioman with a bunch of my friends and after that it was work work and also with my masters by research. SIMULTANEOUSLY.

My convocation was in November.So everything was a WOOOSHHH.It happened so fast.So I decided to take this break and to think clearly over what I want to do with my education and not feeling all panicky while working cos' I know I've yet to work on my research.Plus my work takes up a lot of hours in a week..a LOT!

Just ask a friend of mine who decided to do the same thing as well cos working + masters by research is very hard.Unless you don't have a 9 to 5 job,then you can pursue your masters as well.

Or opt for what some of my friends are doing,go to class on the weekends(masters by coursework which of course,cost more--range from 1k-2k per sem)or just focus on education & don't work(wish I can opt for this but alas I have lots of things to pay for).

Oh,met one of my lecturers at the faculty today which I am very close with,Miss Salliza & she said that I look a bit on the plumper side because around 4 months ago I look like..in her words..'macam rangka'.And although I know she meant it as a compliment that I look 'healthier',I can't help but want to go back to my 'rangka' days.Yeah yeah I know not so healthy.

FYI,I looked like a 'rangka(skeleton)' because at that time I was still dealing with the breakup & food didn't really appeal to me.So yeah,if peeps out there wants to look like a skeleton,only eat once a day like what I did back then.But for now,things have change & I met someone who makes me smile,who has a really really big heart & cares for me a lot &...*sigh*..:)..

Well,I eat a lot more nowadays.Besides,a guy friend of mine said that if someone is too skinny,it's a sign that they're not happy with their life(or genetic wise..but then again being too big is unhealthy as well!).

What I've been up to lately?Shop a bit here & there,a top,a dress,a pair of shoes,some accesories(found angel wings ring & tinkerbell/fairy necklace at Blueberry)..Went to Empire for threading,went to KLPAC open day whereby I met a lot of my TESL friends & seniors as well & even a primary school mate..very random!

Had sleepover with Adela at my hse..she was amaze at the amount of books& also clothes that I have in my room..ahaha.Explored Bangsar on Sunday night with Izza & then went to pj old town(she had to meet her boss) & then back to Bangsar again to meet up with some of the girls.

Ate at Chawan with Izza before going to PJ--d food is pretty nice,at Devi's when the girls cam--love that they had coconut candy & tried what's all the fuss with Tutti Frutti as well..Now I can't wait for more adventures!!:))..

Here's a toast to life,no matter how hectic or sucky it can be sometimes,I'm glad I have awesome people in my life to support me..:))

Hello hello..dah lama xblog dalam bm..jadi..mari2...hehe

Okay rutin harian saya sejak dua menjak ni..kerja,balik rumah,online,gayut kat telepon,tido,bangun gi kerja balik.Ya,memang membosankan sedikit.Tapi bila gaji keluar wah macam hantu raya..ahaha.Marvelous!

Hidup,macam tu la kn?Banyak blog2 yang saya baca,lepas kuar dari universiti & masuk alam pekerjaan=kurang masa untuk berjimba/berhuha/bersuka ria.

Saya pon tidak terkecuali.Jangan ingat gaji bulan2 tuh saya guna untuk beli belah je.Oh tidak2.Kena bayar bil kereta,yuran masters,bil yayasan selangor(study loan zaman uni) dan bil kad kredit.Alih2,tinggal berapa je untuk diri sendiri?

Kawan2 pon semua sibuk dengan kehidupan masing2.Tapi tak mengapa,tak semestinya jarang jumpa,tidak dekat di hati.Macam persahabatan Vivy & Toots dalam blog Proudduck(sgt admire Vivy sbb sgt merendah diri walaupun dr golongan berada),mereka pon jarang2 sms atau calling2 tapi masih rapat.

Jadi kepada rakan2,bila2 kita free,kita jumpa ok?Anda semua masih di hati & ingatan saya..jgn risau..:)

Grinning from ear to ear

Today one of my bestfriend,Izza texted me and said..'How are you friend?'..ooh sentap nok!ahaha.I haven't been in touch with most of my close friends cos' of me being busy with work.I'm really really sorry to all of you and most of them know that I am not that attached to my phone other than taking pictures or the occasional text.ahaha.

If not for Facebook,I probably wouldn't know what a lot of them are up to now..which is a bad thing as well since you need the human touch from time to time.So today we manage to catch up quite a bit.

One of Izza's latest blog post HERE,cracked me up because it encapsulates what a lot of us(my friends & I) are experiencing now.Less time for fun and more time spend at the office.Or in her words during our recent conversation,she doesn't know how many hours she has spend cooped up in the office.

And believe it or not,it is Sunday today but I am at the office.Previously I would make fun of Izza for being at the office during the weekend..now I'm doing the same thing as well.ahaha.Well not to worry,my dad has been working yesterday and today as well,just like me.Sigh.Life oh life.

Today Izza & I shared some of the things that's happening to us.I'm glad that she's happy as well.hehe.I poke fun that we tend to have things happening simultaneously in our lives that I'm guessing if we get married & get pregnant,our trimester would be the same as well.ahahah.

She pointed out something that's been going on with me currently that is very normal but abnormal to me and I'm trying to get used to it.Truthfully,it feels great and I'm smiling a lot more.So I'm trying my best to take this all in stride.But it's too soon to share much here and I can't divulge much but it's safe to say that I'm grinning from ear to ear.:).

Parenthood

I download a lot of tv shows..The stacks of tv dvd series that I bought also further proves that I am a tv show junkie.I don't watch much national tv but I do watch a lot of tv series on my laptop.

Some of them that I downloaded this season is Gossip Girl,Grey's Anatomy,How I Met Your Mother,Big Bang Theory,90210,and many more.

Recently however I discovered the series Parenthood and from the 1st episode from the 1st season,I was sold!The series has a great storyline and it's all about family and it's a very real modern family situation and how they go through their days and still become a very a close knit family.

I love love love this show as I myself, am a family oriented person.The series revolve around the Braverman family which is headed by Zeek & Camille.They have 4 children Adam,Sarah,Crosby & Julia.And they have 6 grandchildren Max & Hattie(Adam's kids);Amber & Drew(Sarah's kids),Sydney(Julia's) & Jabbar(Crosby's).

The series appeal to me because no matter how bad they get into fights with each other they always manage to overcome it & they definitely exemplified the saying'Blood is thicker than water'.I love the cute Jabbar,Crosby's son with Jasmine.He's so smart and adorable.

The show also tackles some serious issues like how Max has autism and Adam & Christina tries their best to live with the conditiom & deals with the issue that comes with it.

Sarah is a single parent who moves in back with her parents to make ends meet & dealing with her 2 teenagers,Amber & Drew.

Julia is a lawyer while her husband Joel is a stay at home dad.So she has to deal with the fact that Sydney is not as close to her as she is with Joel.

And lastly Crosby who finds out that he has a son named Jabbar only 5 years after when Jasmine came to tell him about it.

This is an excellent series & I absolutely love it.I have just finish watching the 1st season & now am downloading the 2nd season & can't wait to watch it.With all the scandals,over the top drama,crime series, vampire tv series that is on the air now,Parenthood is a breath of much needed fresh air.

Although I am not one to be in one relationship after another,I have to admit that I have dated quite a number of guys throughout my almost 24 years of living(hey,I'm still 23 until my birthday comes up which is months away..pheww).But I've only fallen in love with 3 guys and been in a serious relationship with just one of them.

I have learned a lot from all of them.What I want from a relationship,what kind of qualities are important to me and many many more.I never ever regret meeting any of them.If someone isn't right for you,doesn't mean they're not right for somebody else and vice versa.

I used to be such a realist years ago..the one who didn't believe in true love,the one who didn't want to get married,the one who find it so difficult to love another,the one who loathe lovey dovey sentiments.

But times have changed and experiences have made me better and in a way,it sort of 'fix me'.I don't find it so hard to let a guy in anymore.I can find the time to put someone first before me.I can be vulnerable and show the many different sides of me.And now,I actually look forward to one day hopefully settling down and becoming a great wife & an awesome mother.

I am always hopeful regarding love and I still stand by that it is one of the most beautiful feeling in the world.

Grey's Anatomy season 7,1st half

Finally,just finished watching the first half of Grey's Anatomy 7th season.Episode 11 was just epic and great.It made me cry,made me laugh,made me blushed,made me go awww and so many more.I just can't believe that the series is on its 7th season & it is still going strong.And I have watched all 7 seasons,episode by episode & I still don't feel bored at all!

Wouldn't want to spoil it for the rest of you lot that have yet to watch it!All I can say is that..the 7th season have been amazing..Can't wait for the 2nd half of the 7th season to start in a few more months..*sigh*

Saturday--out & about

Saturday was jam packed with stuff to do.In the morning I was invited to a gathering with all of the English teachers at my former highschool/school that I did my practicum at(yeah,I did my practicum early last year at my old alma mater & was in the shoes of my former teachers..hehe) for brunch because they had this brainstorming discussion of the latest literature component & a little birthday celebration for the Dec & Jan babies.

If I choose to become an English teacher,I would like to teach at my old school cos' it's the best..but I know that won't happen...sigh..But that would be cool cos' it meant that I'd be just like Haley in One Tree Hill..right?ahahaha.

Thank God I got my phone fix on Friday & within an hour because on Thursday I got a bunch of messages and one of em was the invi from my friend Fana(pic above) to the brunch thing.huhu.Almost missed it!I made lychee pudding(addicted to it) and brought it over to Datin's house(yes,she is a datin & also an english teacher).It was held at her guesthouse..how cool is that?She has a guesthouse,in front of her own house..woww!

Talk and talk & catch up with Fana because the last time I saw her,I was still in a relationship..yes it was that long time ago!We have made many plans but it's either something come up on my side or something come up from her side.Of course we ca

mwhored as well.hehe.

Had a very insightful conversation with my former BM teacher who was there as well to celebrate the b'day celebration & I was amazed that her outlook on relationship was very modern,spot on & inline with what I thought about as well.Amazing because she might look all strict on the outside but she's definitely someone I look up too..:)Will share more about her and my opinion on my upcoming posts.

There was nasi lemak,roti canai,cakes,kuih muih,fruits & croissant at the brunch..I ate a bit of everything..hehehe.Afterwards,I went to Old Blossom Box(OBB) prelovesale with Fana.Adela was suppose to go with us but pity her since she has cocurriculum & it ended late.huhu.Next time dear!

Bought a Miss Selfridge studded belt for a mere rm5(cos it had red stains on the metal studs,which I managed to remove using my nail polish remover!!yeayyy!),a bohemian Topshop dress for rm20 & a pure white silk shirt for rm10=everything for just rm35..how cool is that?

Met my 2 cousins Iqa & Wani who was there as well & they were there earlier & got a LOT of stuff!I also met a new found twitter friend,Syu.I went there at about 12.30pm & the event started at 12pm but there was so many people there already.Everybody as usual was rocking gorgeous looks & of course high high heels!

After the event,met up with my mum at my grandma's because my dad send her there with my youngest sibling Raffiq,otw to his workplace(yes my dad works on Saturday as well..sob sob..but he get paid hundreds in a day!).Brought my mum to shop for pants(konon!since she didn't buy anything).

We bought foodstuffs at Cold Storage instead..Found my sundried tomatoes!!Can't wait to make aglio olio like the one they served at Fullhouse..yummy!I was tempted to buy a pint of Ben & Jerry's...but I remembered that hey,I'm not suppose to eat ice cream & even if I really wanted to,I should have a scoop or two & certainly not a whole pint to myself!ahaha.

I saw 3 stalks of rhubarb at the vege section going for rm46!OMG!I saw artichokes,fresh fennel,celery root(very different than normal celery),beetroot,raspberries,blackberries..arghhh!!

For someone who loves to cook,I can go crazy at Cold Storage or Village Grocer cos' they have lots of ingredients that aren't available at tesco or giant.

If I have lots and lots of money,I'd buy lots of cooking ingredients & cook everything & anything.Oh wait,a day ago I spend a hundred something on groceries when it was only for a few items!!sigh...And when I told my mum about it,she went like..now you know how much things cost.huhu.I know now mama,I know!

Hey hey today

It's Sunday & I'm in the office & I can see outside that the weather is a bit gloomy...It's super cold in here like really really cold.I'm wearing socks and a blazer on top of my dress&skinny jeans but it's still cold!

Ate apricot yogurt,lychee pudding,a bottle of ribena blackcurrant&strawberry,a few cadbury french vanilla choc,1 cherry candy cane, and a handful of roasted almonds & also 1 pack of the vico drink(I'll take vico over milo anyday man!hehe) for breakfast & lunch but I'm stillll hungrehhhh.

It's because it's cold here that you tend to want to eat more.Thank god the cafe doesn't open on Sunday or else I might have ate a lot more.ahaha.

Want to go home,eat deep fried alaskan pollock with tartar sauce---soooo good!!!Or my homemade aglio olio with sundried tomatoes or tuna sandwich(yeah,new diet change,more fish,less chicken & meat).

Tonight,a friend and former senior of mine,Kak Ana or more known as Ana Raffali will be in the finals of AJL--good luck to her & all the best!

Recently a friend of mine told me about this blood type diet..how you should eat foods according to your blood type.And it sounded interesting so I wanted to know more about it...But the problem was I didn't know what my blood type is.

So I went to the clinic & thanks to free medical benefits as an employee,I did my bloodtest for free.Took a couple of days for the results to come back & the letter that I got is below....

The place is cool & quaint because their organizing system is awesome--you get this different sections of stuffs from different blogshops and they're arrange well & attractively..lots of awesome clothes,shoes,bags & accessories.I bought a red braided ribbon hairband as well that I wore in the pic below!

The top that I wore is a scalloped trim top with lots of pretty jewels on them which I bought at Old Blossom Box Store when I dropped Jezmine's cookie orders.She always orders my choc chip cookies--so nice of her!:) And I can never ever get out of OBB empty handed!hehe.

The amazing necklace I wore was bought on sale at Pavilion's Diva for a mere rm21!

Hey everyone,is it 2011 already?wow!!!:)

So,here’s my reviews on 4 more movie dvd’s that I watched recently.

Diary of A Wimpy KidHow cute is Greg & Rowley?This movie is endearing,funny and cute.Really cute.It’s about Greg’s life being in middle school and trying so hard to make it into the year book .Rowley is such a cute and chubby kid.But I have to say that the cheese part was really really disgusting*stomach churning*.Maybe I’ll buy the books this year since I heard its really funny!

She’s out of my leagueI remembered when this movie came out a few months before,I thought it mirrored my own relationship.LOL.Duh,of course I’m the 10—I’m kidding!Jay Baruchel is just so adorable in this movie that you just go all awwwww..He’s just so sweet and bumbling.:P..

And he’s so incredibly honest(watch out for the ‘came early’ part..bwahahahaha) and open and ahhhhhh so geram!I love the fact that when Kirk introduce Molly to his family,they were bewildered & Marnie’s reaction was PRICELESS!

There are some gross parts as you’d expect but overall it’s a sweet romantic comedy.

The Sorcerer’s ApprenticeI love me a bit of magic in a movie.I love LOTR,Stardust(best!),Percy Jackson,Narnia, and so many more.I guess it’s because I don’t have any magical powers and it’s a whole fantasy that you can’t attain.This movie is not that great but when there’s Jay Baruchel,you don’t hate it!

The best part was when they could change their car into any kind of car that they want...super cool!If I have that power I’d change my car everyday..a Bugatti today,a Lamborghini today..hehe.

The movie is about Dave who is destined to defeat Morgana,the evil sorceress & he’s the Prime Merlinean,meaning that he’s suppose to replace the great wizard,Merlin.So,Balthazar is suppose to find him & make him his apprentice so he can teach him to become Merlin’s successor & finally free Veronica who’s trapped with Morgana in that Russian doll thingy which I forgot it’s name.ahaha.

AfterlifeThis movie which starred Justin Long,Christina Ricci & that other dude,made me confuse while watching it.I was like is she dead,or isn’t she?She’s deadlaahhh..eh no,shes’ not...eh she’s dead laaa..You get me right?Christina Ricci is naked a lot of the time in the movie so I guess guys would love it..ahaha.

But the storyline was so-so.Pretty creepy though if this sort of person actually existed & I didn’t like the ending!!Bahhhh!

Spaghetti meatballs

I haven't made this dish in awhile & ever since my workmate/fellow Teslian asked for the meatball recipe,I wanted to make this dish..So yesterday I splurge & bought a heck load of cooking & baking ingredients cos I wanted to try a bunch of recipes.And today,I made this dish..:)

It's really simple actually to make the sauce & the meatballs.And I'm sorry but for cooking,I don't measure as I taste my food along the way of making them.Adding this and that as I go along.But the meatball recipe was taken from Jamie Oliver but I improvised on it & twist the recipe a bit.

Tomato Sauce

1 can of tomato puree

1/2 of a huge bombay onion,diced

1 can of button mushrooms,slice

1 grated carrot(u can add chopped celery as well but I forgot to buy em')

Fresh basil&oregano(my mum plants these),chopped

A few tomatoes,chopped(I used to scald them in hot water & then peel the skins off but no time for that nowadays!)

Black pepper

Sugar

Salt

Water

Saute onions with mushrooms & herbs.Season with salt & sugar(I learned on tv frm Mario Battali that you should season first,not last!).

Add chopped tomatoes & cooked until a bit soft.Add carrots.Mix well then add tomato puree.

Top with a few dash of black pepper.Taste & add sugar if needed.

Pour some water if it's too thick.

Lower the heat & let simmer for 5-10 mins.

Meatballs

Ground beef--use high quality one,not frozen if poss

Yellow mustard--around 3 tablespoon

2 slice of bread soak in milk until mush--Jamie used crushed cream crackers but I like this better cos it makes the meatballs more juicy

2 cloves of garlic,grated

1 egg,beaten

Fresh rosemary,chopped(rosemary goes well with beef & also,potatoes---glad my mum plants em!)

Salt & sugar to taste

Mix them all together & make sure the mixture isn't too soft until you can't shaped them into balls.Shaped a small one & fry with a little oil to taste first,then you can add a bit more mustard or sugar/salt if needed.

1st cooking post for 2011!!

I have been baking lots of stuffs these past few months but always always forgot to blog about it..ahaha.Croissants,chocolate cupcakes,& many more.

So yesterday after being bored at work,browse some recipes I'd like to try & found a couple & will try all of them soon...First,for 2011,I'll share with you a recipe for Lychee Pudding that's perfect for our warm weather since it's cooling & yummy!:)

I love love eating this dessert everytime my aunt on my dad's side makes 'em for Raya but hers was a bit on the hard side cos' she use agar2 and not konnyaku jelly powder.

The Recipe for Lychee Pudding

Ingredients:

50gm Konnyaku jelly powder(unflavored)
2 &1/2 cups of water(625ml)
3 tablespoon of sugar
200ml IDEAL milk
1/2 canned lychees with 125ml of it's water--blend into chunks

1.Mix the water,konnyaku & sugar in saucepan until well mix.Heat up the mixture until it's boiling.

2.Turn of the heat.Mix in the milk & lychees.Mix well,pour into moulds & after it has cooled down a bit,put into the fridge for about 1 hour or so.Best eaten the next day..:)
