Milani Color Statement and Color Statement Moisture Matte lipsticks reviews

Pretty names
I honestly don't remember what made me became quite obsessed with buying Milani lipsticks. My first four Milani Color Statement lipsticks were purchased via Drugstore's website and brought over from the US thanks to a friend. The other two I bought recently via Ebay.

Such beautiful colours!!
I remembered how I would pore over websites to compare the lipstick swatches and also watching Youtube videos reviewing the lipsticks. The selection of colours just amazes me and I was curious about the watermelon scent, while the new Color Statement Moisture Matte lipstick smells like vanilla. So far I have 5 lipsticks from the Color Statement collection and one from the Moisture Matte collection.
From top:Matte Confident,Pretty Natural,Sangria,Plumrose,Flamingo Pose and Orange-gina.

The lipsticks are very affordable. It's about rm35-37 per lipstick. The packaging is pretty and the quality is great as well. Not to mention the amazing colour range. So without further ado, here are my reviews on all 6 lipsticks.
Pretty Natural
Pretty Natural is an everyday colour. It's your lips, but better.Like all of the other Color Statement lipsticks, there's a watermelon scent to it which doesn't bother me because it's one of my favourite scents!
Matte Confident

This is one of my favourite colour among all of the lipsticks and it's from Milani's latest collection. It's matte and such a beautiful red colour.I've worn it so many times when I go out at night and it always brighten up my face.I love it!It goes on smoothly as well and has a vanilla scent to it.Apparently the entire Moisture Matte collection smells like vanilla, which doesn't bother me either.

Flamingo pose
Wearing Flamingo Pose!
Flamingo pose is a bright juicy pink. It's beautiful and has a summery feel to it.But I tend to layer it on lightly because it's so bright. It does look very pretty on especially when you wear it during the day.It goes on smoothly as well but it does stain your lips quite a bit.I used Bioderma to remove it at night.Among all of the lipsticks, this is the one that I wear the least.
Sangria

Sangria is a beautiful purple colour. But,the application is a little patchy?I don't know why though because all of the other lipsticks are fine.So it does require a bit more layers than the other lipsticks when you're applying it.But the colour is sooo beautiful and I usually wear this at night because it's a little dark for daytime.

Orange-gina

This lipstick is sooo sparkly!I've been loving coral and orange lipsticks lately and this one is a favourite. It's sparkly but you can't see it from afar.. the colour is beautiful. It goes on smoothly as well.

Plumrose

This colour is like the Pretty Natural but deeper. It's also a muted version of Sangria I'd say..I love this colour as well and it gives a sultry look to your lips.It goes on smoothly as well & very creamy.

I love how all of Milani lipsticks doesn't feel heavy on your lips like some lipstick does.If you want to purchase them via ebay,I'll leave the links below as Drugstore doesn't deliver to Malaysia.

What have I been cooking:Breakfast!

Sunday, April 26, 2015 Liyana Hanim 2 Comments

Ever since I got married in January and being a wife..I've been cooking a lot for my husband.I love cooking for him!He cooks for me too from time to time..but I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to food that I think I scared him a bit when I got pissed that he made me slightly burnt french toast once for breakfast... I know that it was mean & I apologized haha It just that when it comes to food that I like,if you screwed it up,I'll get irritated/won't eat it. This have applied to food that we bought/eat at a restaurant.

But my husband can cook and he makes a reallllly great grilled salmon dish, mashed potatoes from scratch,soups..sometimes of course there's mistakes.

When I have the time,I'll make breakfasts for my husband. He usually buys breakfast..and he has done so many times, waking me up and surprising me with it.Nowadays I only make breakfast during the weekend because weekdays are too busy for me nowadays. In the upcoming blogpost,I'll share what I've cooked for lunch&dinner and also what I've baked.
Hashbrowns and sausages

I love eating hashbrowns for breakfast!Usually I used the frozen ones but one Saturday morning I made hashbrowns from scratch and it was actually really easy. You can use THIS recipe from Seriouseats..they did a whole taste test on which method makes the best hashbrowns.

Yummy!

My husband loves scrambled eggs and it's so easy to make them.I use butter and some cream to make it fluffy and creamy of course!I even roasted some cherry tomatoes served with buttery toasts, hashbrown and sausages.

A tray of yumminess

Sometimes the breakfasts that I make comprises of random things. From the picture above,on the left is actually spicy tuna mayonaise on top of slices of multigrain baguette,a slice of fruit pudding cake(so yummy..there's layers of pudding&whipped cream) and a mushroom danish from a bakery. In the floral mugs are actually coffee with chocolate spoons which my mother bought for me from Langkawi.

Sweet and savoury
My husband and I love belgian waffles. They're crunchy on the outside from the caramelization of a sprinkle of sugar, and soft on the inside.I bought them from Sun Moulin and served with a bit of nutella.I bruleed half a banana-- sprinkle sugar on top of sliced banana and use a blow torch to brulee them.Simple & delicious. Also fried some hashbrowns.Definitely an indulgent breakfast.

Made with love
For my husband's birthday...I made him this breakfast in the morning.I cut a sausage in half but not right to the end, used a toothpick to create a heart shape and then cook it on a skillet with an egg inside.Cut the other sausages into tiny bits and fried hashbrowns to go with it.
A big breakfast!
The picture above is what we shared for breakfast on a Sunday morning.I fried some cheesy chicken nuggets, made some buttery toast& served them with more butter and kaya.Made scrambled eggs and served some green grapes on the side.

There's a lotttt more breakfasts that I've made for my husband but of course I don't take all of the pictures.haha I hope I gave some ideas to those who would like to make simple breakfasts for their spouses.I love buying pastries from a bakery, the night/day before and then the next morning and I can just heat them up for breakfast. It saves a lot of time!

Went to Johor for a weekend trip

My father in law had to give a talk in Johor for MATA's new students registration..so we went with him so that we can eat and go to JPO.haha.Because I recently started my new job,we went to Johor after Maghrib on a Friday and arrived there around 1am.

My mother in law really wanted to eat porridge at Bubur No 1 Sentosa. But she thought maybe they had close already. So I did some googling and found their number, gave them a text.Suddenly a lady called me & told me that they're still open..until 3 am!Woahhh.Great service for calling up a potential customer. So all 7 of us went there before we check in into the hotel.
Bubur no 1 Sentosa
The bubur was yummy and had lotsa great condiments! It was a great supper. The next day we went to JPO and spend quite some time there.I ended up buying two items from Kate Spade.Well my husband bought for me.hahaha The beauty products there like MAC,Urban Decay and Clinique was cheap too but because I didn't have anything particular that I wanted..I didn't buy anything.

My mother and my mother in law's birthday are only 3 days apart. We celebrated my mother in law's birthday at TGIF a few days earlier than her birthday because my sister in law had to go outstation for work during her birthday. It was a simple and fun get-together.
For my own mother's birthday,I visited her over the weekend and had lunch with her & my dad, along with my husband.I baked her a cake&gave her a bag of presents.I don't live with them anymore so I can only visit them during the weekends because they don't live nearby to us.
