Sephora 2015 Christmas Party+Review on MUFE Ultra HD Foundation

Two blog entry in two days?I'm on a roll!haha Been down with flu for almost 3 weeks now so I feel less like going out and more about staying in..which is good because I get to blog more and catch up on my backdated drafts!

Ready to shop!
Back in December,I got an invitation from Sephora to attend their Christmas party.I brought along my sister in law Qeema because she's also a Sephora Black Card member and she lovesss the store!

We didn't know what to expect from the party so imagine our susprise when we reach there and were given Sephora vouchers to spend!I got a RM100 voucher while she got a RM50 voucher.I was in heaven and had such a hard time on deciding what to buy.

Patricia K!

It was a great event as we were given snacks,Patricia K was dj-ing there and overall it was such a fun morning! After deliberating and the recommendation from my sis in law + the SA of Sephora(I love Sephora Sunway Pyramid's SA..they're always so helpful& nice!),I decided to get myself a bottle of the much talked and raved about foundation from Make Up For Ever, their Ultra HD foundation.

The Sephora SA matched my shade perfectly and it was 120=Y245 which was named Soft Sand. The foundation retails at rm185.Yes it's expensive but I bought it using the rm100 voucher + another additional 20% discount..so I only paid only rm68 for it.WHAT A STEAL!

If you have money to splurge,I would definitely encourage you to buy this foundation because IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!Okay not to that extend..but it makes you look sooo good. :P

My tip is to definitely go to Sephora and get your shade right because they have sooo many shades and if you get it wrong,it can be pretty damaging as you're spending a lot of money on it..so definitely don't buy this online!

Also,it does oxidise so you have to wait 10-15 minutes after putting on the foundation to decided whether the shade looks good on you or not.

Btw,I use Elf stipple brush when I apply this foundation.

What I love about it:

1)The packaging

I love how sturdy the bottle is and that it comes with a pump.So you don't make a mess and it's also sanitary.

2)The coverage

I would say that the coverage for this foundation is medium to full coverage. You can build it up but it won't make you look cakey. It will make you look like you have a naturally flawless complexion.

Trust me,the first time you put it on your face you'll be like..omgggggg it makes my face looks amazing.Where has this been all my life??haha Okay..that was just my own reaction.LOL

3)The finish

This foundation has a finish somewhere between matte and dewy.So basically it gives a natural finish.haha

4)It's great for people with combination skin(me)

I have combination skin.Meaning that it's normal on certain areas on my face and a bit oily on the others. This foundation makes my skin stays natural(not crazy matte) for hoursss. It feels comfortable and super lightweight as well which is a big plus!

Left:Bare face. Right:MUFE Ultra Hd Foundation
The picture above is me with ZERO makeup on except for a light layer of MUFE Ultra HD on the left side of my face. You can see that it manages to get rid of any redness on that side of the face, erase my pores and also cover a bit of my eyebags.I didn't use any concealer as well.Isn't that amazing?

Overall I love this foundation very very much!I tend to use this when I have to attend events or when I go out at night.Because I love it so much..I feel so reluctant to wear it everyday just for work.Once I finish this entire bottle(which will last for 1 year),I will definitely repurchase it because..it's amazing!(sorry for overusing that word haha)

It makes sense to save your money to buy this foundation other than buying a bunch of drugstore ones.I use to always wear drugstore foundation(I still do for everyday) and the most expensive one that I've bought was from MAC.But I'm a big fan of MUFE now.

Moonshot haul+reviews

Saturday, January 16, 2016 Liyana Hanim 1 Comments

I've been slacking a bit with my blogpost..been a busy December and January! Can't believe that it's 2016 already.

Moving on with this blogpost..

When Moonshot was first available at Sephora ,I quickly went there back in October 2015 to see what stuffs that they were selling(so this post is a delayed entry haha).Initially I was a bit perplexed by their items as I didn't really know what they were-- Cream Paint?Jelly Pot?Then I was like..ahhhh they are multi usage!

Anyway,Moonshot is owned by YG Entertainment which brought us Korean groups like 2NE1 and Big Bang(both bands which I love because they're super talented compared to the hundreds of groups in Korea).

I went back to Sephora again a few days after(because I wasn't sure of what to buy from Moonshot) and bought myself two items from their line. One of their eyeshadow (Powder Block) and their liquid eyeliner(Line Performer Liquid).

I got two free bunnies from Moonshot and also a travel size of their Cream Paint in the shade that I love--Dragon Fruit.

Let's get on with the review!

1)Line Performer Liquid

This liquid eyeliner is amazing! That's saying something as I'm the girl who uses liquid eyeliner everyday for as long as I can remember and have bought so many different brands.I've tried Kat Von D,Stila,Physicians Formula,Loreal,Maybelline,Milani,Marc Jacobs and many more. But I've to say that this one is definitely in my top 3!
Before and after AIA Music Run

It's veryyyy pigmented and it lasts a longggg time.I've used this eyeliner on me when I joined the AIA Music Run last year AND when I join my office department team building activity at Skytrex.Through the sweat and splashes of water..my eyeliner didn't run AT ALL!It's amazing.I also love that it's not hard to remove at all.I just wipe it using my makeup remover and it's gone.
Wore it during Skytrex!

Hurahhh. It's my favourite liquid eyeliner and i'll be buying more of it..once I finish my tube. The only thing I would say is that it's a little bit runny. But if you're use to using liquid eyeliner it wouldn't be a problem as you have a steady hand!

2)Powder Block

There was so many colors to choose from for the Powder Block range and it was so hard to make up my mind. But I ended up buying russet because it's a pale brown color..almost like sand.. and it's not too shimmery.I wanted a brown eyeshadow that I can carry in my makeup bag to work/holiday.It's very buttery smooth and it doesn't crease on my eyelids for hours.

I definitely love this but,I accidentally broke the lid of the eyeshadow.I can still close it..it still snaps into place but the screw behind it is broken.Oh well!

3)Cream Paint
I got a travel size of Moonshot's cream paint in the shade Dragon Fruit.I'm not really a fan of this although I love the color. What I don't like about it is that it's shiny..glossy like finish.

I always prefer matte or creme finish. But the watermelon-y shade is very bright,summer-ish and pretty. It's quite pigmented and you can use it on your cheeks as well.

I've to say that for the first time that this brand reach our shores..it definitely impressed me!I look forward to try more of their stuffs this year.

First Wedding Anniversary

Monday, January 04, 2016 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

Time flies so fast and now it's 2016!

1/1/2016 was also my first wedding anniversary with Razin :) This blogpost was suppose to be up on said date but we extended our stay at The Royale Chulan KL (excellent service and I'll blog about our stay there) so I had no time to blog whatsoever.

Can't believe that on 1/1/2015,at 10.30 am,we got married. It was the best day of my life..that I honestly could care less what I was wearing and how I looked like.

I was just so utterly happy and grateful that I was marrying this amazing guy that I love so much.

It's been a great year for the both of us. Eventhough we were a couple for 4 years before we got married,it's very different living together and seeing each other everyday. We definitely learn more and more about each other.

Words can't express how much I love this man.I'm just so grateful and thankful for everything and especially Allah s.w.t for blessing this marriage.
He performed our special song at our wedding
2015!
Goodbye to beautiful 2015 and hello to the many exciting things that awaits us this year.:)
