Covergirl mascaras review:Lashblast,Full Lash Bloom and Queen Lash Fanatic.

I love mascaras!Even when I don't have time to wear any makeup or I don't want to put on any makeup..i'll atleast curl my lashes and put on a few coats of mascara. It just opens up your face.I'm always on the lookout for a great mascara without breaking the bank.I used to purchase Diorshow but right now, after being married and all,I can't justify purchasing a rm120 mascara. It's just excessive! So I'm all about finding a cheaper alternative.

That's why I love Covergirl mascaras. They're inexpensive and works wonders.Granted they're not available here..so I purchased them via drugstore.com and sent it to my friend's house in the States. But you can always purchase them via ebay though it'll be slightly more expensive.

I have three Covergirl mascaras in my collection and I truly love them all. Each gives a different effect on my lashes.I bought two of them back in November and the latest one was a recent purchase. All of the mascaras aren't waterproof because it's easier to remove for everyday wear(so that I can perform ablution before prayer) and all of the shade is in Very Black.

Without further ado, here are my reviews on them.

All aren't waterproof & are in the shade of Very Black.

1.CoverGirl Queen Lash Fanatic in Very Black(limited edition)

This is a favourite of mine because it separates my lashes, lengthens it and also gives it tons of volume. It's from their limited edition Queen collection. You can see from the picture below that the bristles are very fine and the size of the brush is also thin..it makes it easier for you to reach all of your lashes.

I bought this back in November and I use it sparingly as I have a lot of other mascaras..I like to alternate them. There's still a lot in the tube.I will definitely want to repurchase this mascara.

Full fat lashes.
2.CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom by Lashblast

This was my recent purchase and it came out recently this year from CoverGirl. It definitely packs a punch. It gives your lashes a spidery look but without the clumps. That's one the great thing about CoverGirl mascaras..you can layer them on and it won't clump at all. This mascara is an improvement from the Lashblast mascara(reviewed below),hence why the shape is similar.

The only downside of this mascara is that the bristles are spiky. So it can hurt your eyelid if it touches it..which had happened to me a few times.haha.The brush is thin as well so it's easier to reach all of your lashes just like the lash fanatic mascara. You can see the effect below.I love it!

It looked like I was wearing falsies haha.
3.Lashblast Volume mascara

This mascara gives great volume that looks natural. It's great for everyday. The brush is big and that can make it hard for you to reach all of your lashes.I love it but not as much as the other two mascaras. It has fine bristles though, hence why it managed to separate and lengthen your lashes while giving it volume.

Subtle volume

Difference between the two brushes
That's my review on them. They're all really great mascaras and are very inexpensive.I would suggest you girls to go to drugstore.com and purchase them if you can.I remembered getting a promotional offer on one of the mascara and it was only USD 0.25(the Lashblast volume). That website have amazing deals..wish they'd ship to Malaysia!

P/S:Photos from all of my recent May/June blogposts were taken using my iPhone 6.I've been using it for a few months now and I absolutely love it. :) I don't wear colored contacts..ever.My eyes are dark brown but you'll only notice it upclose. My cousins eyes are light brown..it's cos of the Arab side of our family :P

Royal Floria Putrajaya 2015

Friday, June 19, 2015 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

I haven't been blogging much due to being busy with work.I get tired on weekdays and weekend is for relaxing or going to places. My weekend is also pretty busy nowadays. But since Ramadhan is here,my weekend will be pretty relax for sure.Just staying at home and chilling out. Can't wait for that!

On 30th of May I went to Royal Floria 2015 with my friend Natalie, who's also my husband bestfriend's wife.We went together because our husbands aren't interested in looking at flowers.haha.
Beautiful hanging garden

Anyway,I purchased the tickets online and thank god that I did that because when we went there, the line for people to purchase the tickets was very long.It was my first time going to Floria so I didn't know what to expect. It definitely surprises Natalie and I.There was so many things going on than just mere flowers.
If you looked a the pamphlet above, you'll see that there's a lot of different gardens there. That is what made me want to go so bad..I wanted to see the different gardens.Natalie and I walked everywhere and saw everything except for the winter and spring garden because you have to pay additional money to see it and the line was crazy long. The only thing that was a bit disgusting was the portable toilets.Because there's no water pipe/faucet..ewww.haha.
Having fun at Floria!Btw yes,top left is a replica of Hobbiton!!haha
The international participation exhibition was impressive. There was so many beautiful, amazingly creative floral installation from different countries being showcased. There were even really huge floral headpieces that I never thought about..definitely beats the normal flower crown.haha
Beautiful!Look at that floral headpiece.

Lots of amazing floral art installation
But other than that,I would definitely love to go back next year.I believed that it was their 8th year doing the festival and I can't believe that I didn't know about it.haha
At the Spa Garden..yes I wore flip flops.Ipanema ones..my fave(i've 4 pairs)
We were sweating buckets though when we were there..but managed to cool ourselves off at the spa garden which was soooo beautiful by the way.
Lilies everywhere!
Every year the festival will choose one flower to highlight and this year it was the lily flower.I love lilies!I carried two different bouquet of lilies for my akad nikah & bersanding.Lilies was everywhere and they were planted on the ground all over the festival.
A sunny day
I was soooo tempted to pluck them and take them home with me.hahaha You'll see the pictures below and understand what I mean. There was lilies in so many different colours.I didn't know there was a lot of colours for lilies as I always get either white or pink ones.
Huge roses

I managed to buy a stalk of Kenya rose that was the biggest rose I've ever seen!It was the size of my face and they sold it for only rm5 each.It smells soooo good.
Smash the cookie!
I also tasted this..chocolate cookie ball thing that Natalie said she had eaten before and was so good. She bought one for me to eat and it was really good. You have to smash the ball with a hammer while the cookie is in a paper bag and then you eat it.

Lots of plants for sale!
There are a lot of plants for sales as well but we didn't buy any.My parents are avid gardeners and they would love it though.I've no time to take care of plants though I want my own vegetable/fruit garden one day. When I'm a full time housewife.haha

All in all,for only rm6 each to enter Floria..it was worth the money.I can't wait to go again next year!

Ebay beauty trinkets

Saturday, June 06, 2015 Liyana Hanim 4 Comments

It's June already!Time flies so fast that it's already half of the year that's gone.I'm excited for Ramadhan and Syawal because it's the first time that I'm celebrating it with my husband :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trinkets means little things..hence the title of this blogpost..haha

I've been buying things from Ebay for years now and it all started because of my cousin who likes to buy things from there. If you read about my past blog posts, you'll know that I've purchased various things from Ebay--acrylic case for my makeup, makeup, books, iphone covers and many more.

One night I was browsing for makeup brush guards and I saw this Ebay seller who also sell some other interesting stuffs. It was super cheap by the way.Surprisingly, the items arrived within 2 weeks!I thought that I'll blog about them.

L-R:Brush guards,brushegg and lash thingy.

When I saw this brushegg I was like..omg so cuteeee.I wanted something like this to be able to wash my makeup brushes with.Funny thing was that, when I purchased this,a day after,I saw that my sister in law had the same thing except in a different colour.haha. I got it for only rm6!So damn cheap.

It's so easy to use this. You just wet your makeup brush, swirl it in your makeup brush cleaner solution/baby shampoo and use your brush to brush it against the surface of the egg..vigorously.It'll make your makeup brush clean in no time!
When I saw this item above,on Ebay I was like..what is that??It looks scary! But when I clicked on it and saw what it was for..I was like..this might be useful! You know that credit card/card trick that makeup artists use to apply mascara? This device eliminates the need to use a card..but it also does a few other things as well. You can apply mascara on your bottom lash without leaving black marks on your undereye and also separating any clumps from your mascara application.

The best part was that I got it for only rm3!.Yes..for real.hehe.Gotta love ebay!

As you can see,the last item I bought is the makeup brush guard! It was only rm5 for 10 pieces.I'm buying more of them because it's so useful. It keeps your makeup brush clean and also protects the shape of the brush.I love it!!!

My advice to you girls/guys out there who wants to buy stuffs from Ebay, make sure that you're buying from a 99% trusted seller.Out of the manyyyy times that I've purchase items from Ebay,I've only been cheated twice. So I'm very careful to not choose seller who's like..88% guaranteed.Btw,all of the stuffs that I bought in this post came from China and it took only about two weeks to arrive.Pretty fast!Happy shopping :)
