Missing You

I can't stop listening to the acoustic version of this song sung by Tyler Hilton(John Waite originally sang it).Maybe because the lyric is very true? When you really miss someone who you know you shouldn't be missing but you can't help but miss them, you try your best to deny and bury that feeling...huhuhu.Yes,Love is NOT complicated but WE are.Anyhoo,I really love this song and it definitely touched my heart..awwww... : (

MISSING YOU

Everytime I think of you
I always catch my breath
And I'm still standing here
And you're miles away
And I'm wondering why you left
And there's a storm that's raging
Through my frozen heart tonight

I hear your name in certain circles
And it always makes me smile
I spend my time just thinking about you
And it's almost driving me wild

But it's my heart thats breaking
Down this long distance line tonight

And I ain't missing you at all
Since you've been gone... away
I ain't missing you
No matter what I might say

There's a message in the wires
And I'm sending you a signal tonight
You don't know how desperate I've become
And it looks like I'm losing this fight

But it's my heart that's breaking
Down this long dusty road of mine

And I ain't missing you at all
Since you've been gone... away
I ain't missing you
No matter what my friends say

And there's a message that I'm sending out
Like a telegraph to your soul
If I can't bridge this distance
Stop this heartache overload

I ain't missing you at all
Since you've been gone... away
I ain't missing you
No matter what my friends say
I ain't missing you

I ain't missing you
Since you've been gone away
I ain't missing you
No matter what your friends say

Hey, yeah... yeah
Yeah, yeah
I ain't missing you at all
Since you've been gone away
I ain't missing you, no...

Ohana means family

Thursday, May 29, 2008 Liyana Hanim 2 Comments

Wheww,I hven't blog in a couple of days...been busy with work because I need money to shop..hehehe..And tomorrow is shopping time!!!

Yesterday was a packed day for me.Drove from Puncak Alam to Shah Alam, and then from Shah Alam to Bandar Baru Bangi and then from there, went to Cyberjaya to Lim Kok Wing...Because my cousin's band,Imaginary Frens was perfroming there. My cousin was helping her friend who had an assignment whereby they had to do an event. So as they say in Lilo & Stitch, 'Ohana means family'.So of we go,my 3 cousins,Kak Hani,Firdaus & Adila including their mother,Umi to see Syazni perform.Syazni is the 3rd sibling in their family and my family and I are very close to their family...we basically grew up together and have embarassing family videos to prove it..hahaha

At Lim Kok Wing,we hung out as we wait for the bands to set up...I was bored and I suddenly remember that I have this super duper senior of mine and a friend, who's a lecturer at Lim Kok Wing.So I text him and ask him to come down and hangout with me to watch the band. Here's a picture of the retarded lecturer, named Azzam..muahaha(I am kidding bro!!!).Thanks for teman-ing me watching the performances!!!Here's a pic of him flashing his Lim Kok Wing staff tag...hahaha

Didn't took any pictures of Imaginary Frens performance because I was busy recording it on the cam.So damn lazy to upload the videos here as my cousin will upload it on Youtube later...
After Imaginary Frens performance,we went to Mines for lunch and Firdaus bought a new monitor for his pc....Had an 'interesting' conversation with Fir,and I decided that I'll find a girlfriend for him cos he deserves a good one and I have single juniors..(he's 19 years old).Gonna pimp him out!!!muahaha.I am not saying this because he's my cousin, but Fir is very handsome,he inherits the family's Arab side so he does look like an Arab. But to me he looks like a Malaysian version of Jason Castro(that dreadlocked dude in the recent A.Idol) but without that awful looking dreadlock.haha.Fir's mum, whom all of us call Umi,she's also Kak Hani,Syazni & Adila's mum...will be having an operation tomorrow because of her thyroid.I wish her all the best and get well soon!!

I'm off to get some well deserved sleep so catch up with you peeps in a few days!!

Finales!!!

Sunday, May 25, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

I watched both One Tree Hill season 5 finale and Gossip Girl finale a few days ago.I have to say I was much more satisfied with One Tree Hill's finale..after 5 season, the show is still going strong!!!The show has manage to stay great while touching on important issues like school shooting, teenage pregnancy, and many more. And the 5th season, which happens 4 years after they graduate from high school shows how the characters deal with being a grown up.Issues like adoption, adultery, getting back on your feet (Nathan's injury made him ousted from NBA)and psycho nannies(yikes!) was brought to the table.

What a cute family!!!

But it's icky that Skills is sleeping with Nate's mum...ewww.And it's sooooo sweet seeing Mouth and Milly...they're MFEO.Nathan,Haley & Jamie are such a cute family...I keep listening to the song that Haley sang a few minutes before the finale ended, the name of the song is "Feel this" and it feature Bethany's husband's band,Enation. And wasn't it cute that Gavin deGraw sang with Jamie the OTH theme song at the start of the show,on the piano instead of the usual where they just play the song with the cast names rolling? And who is the one Lucas picked to get married in Vegas?Lindsey,Brooke or Peyton???I was dying to know because at the airport when he called someone and asked her to come to the airport and go to Vegas to get married to him,all 3 girls was answering their phones too.Suddennly..pooof,the show ended!

Damn, have to wait for so many months for the 6th season.I hope its Brooke.Although this season was all about Peyton vs Lindsey for Lucas...Lucas has been really great in helping Brooke with Angie & he did say that he love Brooke to her,but I thought it was more of like a friend thing.I am amaze that Chad Micheal & Sophia Bush are able to work together and have intimate scenes together when in real life they're a divorce couple. That's really professional of them!I am proud that one of the writers on OTH is a Malaysian!!!woohooo!

James Lafferty!!!!Be still my beating heart..hahaha

One Tree Hill's season's finale was intriguing unlike Gossip Girl's finale. But I guess this is GG'S 1st season and maybe because I have been a reader of Gossip Girl series when I was 14,I was expecting something better.I have to say that the book are scandalous than the tv series itself.I was also surprise when Georgina entered the show because she wasn't one of their friends because in the book,Nate met her in rehab(yes, ironically,in the series,Nate's dad was the one whos in rehab while in the book,Nate was the one who got caught buying weed and he is such a stoner in the book).

He is so damn gorgeous!Carrie Underwood is a lucky girl(when they used to date laaa)...hehehe

Georgina became Nate's girlfriend while he's in rehab and his friends met her on their ski trip. But atleast the show picked the right actress to play Georgina because the description of her in the book was someone who looked like Snow White--really pale skin & black hair.Although I'm still piss that Jenny is nothing like she is in the book.Jenny is suppose to be brunette, have no sense of fashion, have humongous boobs(which she is mock for in the book series) and is a great artist ( as in painting).Oh,and Vanessa doesn't look anything like what she is describe in the book.Neither is Chuck,Rufus and Dan(isn't he suppose to be a great poet like in the book?).

The finale was okay.Dan is such a bonehead! But I guess it just wasn't meant to be for him and Serena because sooner or later he will have to end up with Vanessa.Thank God Vanessa and Nate is over...like ewww...she is soo wrong for him!Nate should be with Blair but I guess she'll end up with Chuck provided that he discard his penis mentality...hahaha.But looks like it'll be a long time before he's able to commit to only 1 girl..

Maybe Blair will end up with that Marketing guy...he has such a beautiful head of hair..hehe.And Lydia Hearst,a true NY Upper East Side heiress guest starred as the decorator whom Chuck wasted no time in wooing..ewww...That's so low of him!Just when Chuck was starting to grow on me,he turn into his old self again...haih...I love Blair's dress at the wedding, she wore pink everything from her shoes to the flower to the clutch(or was it a small of handbaf..I didn't remember).Serena's gloves was so wrong..haha.

Here I put a little time line on who dated/hooked up with whom in GG's book series

1.NATE+Blair+Jenny+Georgina+Blair+Serena=In the season finale we see that Nate will probably spend his summer with Serena...maybe they finally will follow the book somewhat?

2.BLAIR+Nate+Miles+Erik(in d' book,he's Serena's OLDER brother,not YOUNGER)+Nate+Lord Marcus

3.SERENA+Dan(for like a week?)+Aaron(Blair's stepbrother)+Nate

4.JENNY+Nate+Leo

5.DAN+Serena+Mystery(yup..tats d name of dis chick)+Vanessa

Oh yeah,Chuck who at first was all Lothario, and after a few books,he became so gay!hahaha

Memories

Saturday, May 24, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

Memories exist for a reason...

Some of my memories are very beautiful while some of them are too painful to remember.

Last night I was thinking of getting rid of some stuff so that I won't be reminded of the memories with the person that those things are associated with. But as I went through the things,I smiled. It reminded me that I was happy at that time. That all the hurt that I felt after was just a rite of passage.Maybe all that hurt will prepare me for the love that awaits me. As I quote from Montaigne,"Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in the memory as the wish to forget it".Although I try to forget some of my memories, I know that I am fighting a losing battle.I'll probably never forget because the memories are embedded in my cerebral cortex.

Sometimes it amazes me the capacity of one person to remember so many things.I still remember who my childhood friends were when I was 10.Nuqman,Muhaimin,Munawir and Arsalan. My playground budddies who included my younger brother. The fun times that we had being silly every petang at the playground of Seksyen 11 or going to Pusat Akuatik when it first opened and having football/netball face off with them.I have no idea where all of them are now.Because when I turn 12 my mum forbade me to play with the boys anymore since they are much older than me..and then each one of us move away from our homes, starting with Nuqman and then my family move to Seremban although my grandparents continue to live in the house until now.I did move back when I was 15 but no one was there anymore.Form 4, my family move back to Seremban..yeah we move a lot!Out of my 5 years of high school,I have been to 4 different schools. But now I am back in Shah Alam, the place that I was born and bred, for good.Although I definitely know what Arsalan has become.. seeing him staring as Bernice Chauly's boyfriend in Gol & Gincu and all those adverts...he definitely has come a long way since back when I used to ponteng puasa with him.hahaha.

Memories to me,reminded me a time when I was happy, sad, scared, hurt and so many other feelings. It's there in my mind for a reason. So that perhaps,I will be more cautious ,or to say to myself that I am getting stronger and wiser. That although the people that we created the memories with has left us, we still have the memories to remember them by.

The painful memories of the past will shape our future; the moments we cherish last forever in a beautiful array of remembrance.-Paul Acquasanta-

NALEY!!!

Thursday, May 22, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

Although I know,it's just a television show....I really, really love NALEY(Nathan and Hailey in One Tree Hill). They weren't perfect for each other at first and they had to face a lot of obstacles to reach where they are now..but to me,they are meant for each other. And now that the 5th season of One Tree Hill has ended...I can't wait for the 6th season and hope that it'll be just as good as all the other season have been. They are so cute laaa!!Nathan and Hailey and their little son James Lucas Scott(Jamie). To me,Nathan Scott is my dream guy...he's strong, romantic, sweet, although he has quite a temper(that can be excluded...I don't like hot tempered guys!) & he's a basketball player( a sport that I can tolerate unlike football)....I found this video on Youtube on Top Ten Naley Moments....it's so sweet!!!!I only have the whole season 3,4& 5 of One Tree Hill on dvd so now I'm gonna get my hands on season 1 and 2 too for keeps so I can watch Naley moments all over again...

Here's another great Naley video

A thousand splendid suns!!!!!!

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Liyana Hanim 1 Comments

Got my hands on A thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hosseini yesterday....Thanks to my beloved parents who bought it for me because I'm 100% broke...hehehe..I have read until Part 4...I just can't put it down..I only put it down when I go to sleep..Will continue to read it after this and then I'll write my review on it here!!So far,it definitely is better than The Kite Runner..Khaled Hosseini is definitely an amazing author...

Updates...
Finish reading the book less than half an hour ago.It is amazing.Truly amazing.Touching,beautiful,sad,shocking,educational,eye-opening,compelling,riveting and so many more.I am in awe over Khaled Hosseini's ability to write an even better book than his first book,The Kite Runner.I don't want to spoil much of the storyline because to me it is a very worth book to buy, read and keep. The book revolves around two female characters,Mariam and Laila and how hard life was to them.Mariam,a harami (a child born out of wedlock) and how her life took a turn for the worse just because her father was ashamed of her existence. And of Laila, a beautiful girl whose life is just like any other girl in the world, but it all change one day because of the war.The brutality of it will shock others who read the story but that is the reality of life for women there. But the theme of the book to me is also important. It tells us that because of love, pure love that is not tainted by anything,a person will be able to overcome abuse, hardship and many more brutality of life.Which some people might scoff at..,but really, read the book and you'll see how trivial your everyday problems are compared to those who are living in oppression.

A thousand splendid suns will be turned into a movie too as I read about it on Khaled Hosseini's blog--

http://khaledhosseini.com/blog/2008/03/film_version_of_a_thousand_spl.html#more

I am glad that finally, after many years of searching,I have found an author that I could look up to,that inspires me to write a book of my own, that opened up my eyes to the brutality of life in Afghanistan, that is able to write a second book that is better than the first(which is rare because usually,an author's second book doesn't measure up to the success of the 1st book).I can't wait to see what Khaled Hosseini's third offering will be.

For you,a thousand times over

Sunday, May 18, 2008 Liyana Hanim 1 Comments

The Kite Runner, blew my mind.As I finish reading it 2 weeks ago(Moja,I forgot to give it back to you but I'll keep it elok2..hehehe),I came to the realization that this world is not just about me,my family and my friends and my country.Reading the book made me realize although I know that the situation in Afghanistan is bad,to get the perspective of a real Afghan author, was mind blowing and it really shattered me.It could happen to anyone. One day your country that was peaceful and beautiful suddenly become bleak, filled with death and all the happiness and the wealth is gone in a split second. And then what is left? The simple conclusion is love and friendship. That is the essence that bind The Kite Runner about the love of friendship. And I can't wait to read A thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hosseini as well.

I watched the movie yesterday and...I don't know how many times my tears fell down my face.I didn't cry like 'gila2' but it touched my heart so many times. And there are moments in the movie that absolutely kills me...Like when Hassan was raped by Assef, when Amir throw pomegranates at Hassan and when Sohrab danced with the bells around his ankles...that scene really killed me..the humiliation was just too painful to watch. Also when the man who took care of the orphanage blasted at Amir for getting angry at him....what he said about the bleakness of life at that moment,God,that really killed me too...(although I have read it in the book, seeing in on screen and the fact that the actor did a very good job really touched my heart). And the one that scared me the most was at the stadium during the killing with stones.I was like 'Astaghfirullahalazim' all the way through that scene.

Hassan and Amir.

My friend Chip who saw the movie long before I did said that it didn't follow the book right but I thought that it was a good interpretation of the book though the last half of the movie when Amir manage to get Sohrab...suddenly they were back in America. They didn't show how hard it was for Amir to adopt Sohrab and the fact that Sohrab tried to commit suicide was not shown either. And I thought that the first half of the movie, they didn't really show the extremely close friendship between Amir and Hassan which in turn made the betrayal and the cowardice of Amir, very, very painful for one who have read the book.

But I understand the fact that the book is very long and to be able to cramp everything into 2 hours is impossible. And for that matter,The Kite Runner is a great movie. It gotten great reviews in the US.I especially love the kite race because it was amazing seeing all the kites and the special effects that they did to make the race look so enjoyable. The actors are great too.Khalid Abdallah who played the older Amir did a great job in portraying the character. And so did the little Hassan. In fact everyone of the cast was great. If you have read about the movie in The Star a few weeks ago you would have known for a fact that the child actors were relocated to United Arab Emirates because they fear their safety in their own country, over the fact of the rape scene(a Pashtun boy raping a Hazara.Again, you might not understand this so please READ the book. You WON'T regret it.).

Khalid Abdalla.

But for the people who haven't watched it yet,I suggest that you read the book first, because there will be parts in the movie where you might not be able to connect with or understand (like the part of Sohrab dancing) because the pace was quite fast.I love the book and the movie a lot and again, can't wait to read A thousand splendid suns.So now I also can't wait to watch Prince Caspian because I have been reading the whole Narnia series years ago and want to see if it does the book justice.

Coldplay's 'Violet Hill' videoclip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, May 18, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

Yeehhaawwwwwwwww!!!My most favorite song of the moment--Violet Hill from Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida' and the video have just came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VIOLET HILL

Was a long and dark December
From the rooftops i remember
There was snow
White snow

Clearly i remember
From the windows they were watching
While we froze down below

When the future's architectured
By a carnival of idiots on show
You'd better lie low

If you love me
Won't you let me know?

Was a long and dark December
When the banks became cathedrals
And the fog
Became God

Priests clutched onto bibles
And went out to fit their rifles
And the cross was held aloft

Bury me in honor
When i'm dead and hit the ground
A love back home unfolds

If you love me
Won't you let me know?

(Guitar Solo)

I don't want to be a soldier
With the captain of some sinking ship
With snow, far below

So if you love me
Why'd you let me go?

I took my love down to violet hill
There we sat in snow
All that time she was silent still

So if you love me
Won't you let me know?

If you love me,
Won't you let me know?

Everything inside

Sunday, May 18, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

It happened again
Everything came back
In my mind.
I tried hard not to.
To not,
Let it get to me
But I am not,
That strong.
And the pain,
That lurks inside.
It never seem to leave
And the tears starts to fall
One by one.

For how many times
Have I tried to forget.
Though the memories
Are still there
The feelings are still there
Only time will tell.
If someone can save me
From all this pain,
Let it be...

Pizza!

Saturday, May 17, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

The first season of Gossip Girl has ended and I will blog about my opinion on the whole season in general and the huge difference about the series and the book later in the week because I haven't watch the finale yet. Can't wait!

I have been keeping myself occupied with cooking and readin
g and driving my mum to places for errands .Am halfway through the book The Bean Trees.I baked pizzas for the family a few days ago and here I include a passage from Elizabeth Gilbert's book 'Eat Pray Love', on the best pizza in the world. The book is about Elizabeth's journey to Italy,India and Indonesia. And I bought it a few months ago because I love buying any books about a person's travel to Italy.I have a whole collection of Frances Mayes books--she's an American who bought a house in Tuscan and her books is about her discovering Italy and it's charm.Although 2 of her books that I have are not just about Italy, for instance the book 'A Year in the World' is about her traveling to Scotland,Fez and many more great places and the book 'Swan' is her first fiction.Okay..I am totally getting sidetracked here,so down below is an excerpt from Elizabeth Gilbert's book that I have typed for your reading pleasure.. ; )

'
......before I left Rome he gave me the name of a pizzeria in Naples that I had to try, because,Giovanni informed me,it sold the best pizza in Naples.I found this a wildly exciting prospect, given that best pizza in Italy is from Naples, and the best pizza in the world is from Italy, which means that this pizzeria must offer....I'm almost too superstitious to say it..the best pizza in the world?Giovanni passed along the name of the place which such seriousness and intensity,I almost felt I was be
ing inducted into a secret society. He pressed the address into the palm of my hand and said,in gravest confidence, "Please go to this pizzeria.Order the margherita pizza with double mozarella .If you do not eat this pizza when you are in Naples, please lie to me later and tell me that you did."

So Sofie and I have come to Pizzeria da Michele, and these pies we have just ordered----one for each of us--are making us lose our minds.I love my pizza so much,in fact, that I have come to believe in my delirium that my pizza might actually love me,in return.I am having a relationship with this pizza, almost an affair.Meanwhile,Sofie is practically in tears over hers, she's having a metaphysical crisis about it,she's begging me,"Why do they even bother trying to make pizza in Stockholm? Why do we even bother eating food at all in Stockholm?"
Pizzeria da Michele is a small place with only two rooms and one non-stop oven. It's about fifteen minutes walk from the train station in the rain, don't even worry about it,just go.You need to get there fairly early in the day because sometimes they run out of dough, which will break your heart.

By 1.oo PM,the streets outside the pizzeria have become jammed with Neapolitans trying to get space on a lifeboat. There's not a menu. They have only two varieties of pizza here--regular and extra cheese.None of this new age southern California olives-and-sun-dried-to
mato wannabe pizza twaddle. The dough,it takes me half my meal to figure out ,tastes more like Indian nan than like any pizza dough I ever tried. It's soft and chewy and yielding, but incredibly thin.I always thought we only had two choices in our lives when it came to pizza crust--thin and crispy,ot thick and doughy. How was I to have known there could be a crust in this world that was thin and doughy?Holy of holies!Thin, doughy, strong, gummy, yummy, chewy, salty pizza paradise. On top, there is a sweet tomato sauce that foams up all bubbly and creamy when it melts the fresh buffalo mozarella, and the one sprig of basil in the middle of the whole deal somehow infuses the whole pizza with herbal radiance, much the same way one shimmering movie star in the middle of a party brings a contact of high of glamour to everyone around her. It's technically impossible to eat this thing,of course. You try to take a bite off your slice and the gummy crust folds, and the hot cheese runs away like topsoil in a landslide, makes a mess of you and your surroundings, but just deal with it.'

Yup people..we in Malaysia have been fooled by pizzas by the likes of Pizza Hut, Shakeys & Domino's...
So I tried to replicate the pizza that Elizabeth had in Naples...but my pizzas although they are thin and doughy..the edge of it were crispy and they were only doughy towards the middle. And thanks to my mum who has her own herb garden..I manage to have fresh basil on my pizza too...But oh..wouldn't it be great if I could fly straight to Naples and eat at Pizzeria da Michele???sigh....

My homemade pizza sauce

The pizza dough that I made

Let it rest.........

Knead and shape it...

Ta-dahhh!!!

New music!!

Friday, May 16, 2008 Liyana Hanim 0 Comments

Music is my life!In my comatose laptop,I have about 900+ songs plus..I listen to everything and anything..Provided that it doesn't make my ears bleed...And currently I am listening to these albums and songs...

ALBUMS

1.We Sing.We Dance. We Steal Things. by Jason Mraz

-excellent album!Though I have to say that Jason is being very 'explicit' nowadays..hehehe.Listen to 'Butterfly' and you'll know what I mean..*blush*.
My favourite tracks from this album is Butterfly,If it kills me,Lucky(a duet with Colbie Caillat),Details in fabric(feat.James Morisson), & Coyotes. But overall, each song is great in their own way.

2.Viva la Vida by Coldplay

Woohoo!!!Coldplay is one of my utmost favorite bands & they're back..although their album will be out sometime in June, two of the tracks from the album Viva la Vida which is the title track and Violet Hill is out for download on iTunes. The song Violet Hill is amazing(am listening to it again)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's different than their previous stuff but it's excellent!!!!

3.Ro
ckferry by Duffy

She sounds like Amy Winehouse only sexier and without the coke addict look.haha.I love the songs Mercy(I'm sure many of you have heard it on the TV),Syrup & Honey and Warwick Avenue.Mercy made me want to dance...^_^

4.The Story and The Song by Between the Trees

This is their 1st album and on iTunes they are called as an alterno-pop band.I love their single White lines & red lights and also 2 other songs The forward and The way she feels.

4.Hook me up by The Veronicas

I used to be a big fan of The Veronicas...I still remember the time whereby I would emulate their glossy red lips look and Izza & me would watch their clips and live performance on YouTube. But when I listen to this album...it's such a let down. They sound like Aly&Aj!!!!It's a mish mash of electronica..yuckksss.But there is a diamond in the rough in this album which is the song In Another Life.If you're a former fan, when you listen to songs like Popular and Untouched..it makes you want to puke.Seriously!Especially Popular because it made them sound like Avril Lavigne 'Girlfriend'...barff!!!!

SINGLES

1.Shine by Anna Nalick
From the singer who brought us Breathe and 2 am,comes the new single Shine. It's great and I love the chorus part. It's a very uplifting song....Great to listen on a bad day!The lyric are clever too..like this part,'There are times when the poets and pornstars align and ,You won’t know who to believe in.Well that’s a good time to be leavin

2.Sweet and Low by Augustana

I was obsessed with their 1st album,Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays. And then they re-released the song Boston in their 2nd album,All the Stars and Boulevards...I loved the song Boston and listen to it for days and days..a year before it made its way into Malaysia's airwaves .This new single from their 3rd album,Can't Love Can't Hurt, is way mellow than their hit single which was my fave, (because of the beautiful piano intro) Boston...but it's just as good! The vid for Boston was way better(loved playing the piano by the beach look) but in this vid,the new singer for the band,Dan Layus..looked hot!The former lead vocal for the band,Josiah Rosen, left the band for a solo career on April 2006.I love the song Twenty Years in the album too..but I haven't got hold of the whole album...yet!!!hahaha.When I have my hands on the whole thing,I'll write my review here!!Long live Augustana!

3.Say by John Mayer
The new boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston released this single awhile back ago so this is a late review for me... and the song is great but it's nothing to shout about..I don't know when he will release his new album since this single was release late last year...hmm....

This story reminds me of a friend

I went to Bryan Boy's blog and found this entry on Ali Micheal. On how she was only picked for one Paris show because they claim that her legs is too fat and in the recent TeenVogue article, she said that because she was pressured to lose weight, she didn't get her period in over a year and the doctor said because of the fact that she is not consuming any fat into her body, her level of estrogen is so low that she might not be able to have children on the account that her ovaries have shut down.Below,is the interview with Ali Micheal on the Today Show.

I have a friend who a while back ago was so obsessed over losing weight(you know who you are & I hope you're not doing that anymore) and yup,her mother brought her to the doctor and the doc said that some of her hormones are low and others are too high.I used to live with her and yeah,a person's diet does affect their health. When you don't eat properly, you kind of know that sooner or later your hormones will act up and that what happened to my friend.Hmm..I guess Ali's story does resemble what she was going through. But not just her either...I have another friend who didn't get her period for months because of her diet. It's worrying because like it or not,the pressure to be thin does not just exist among models,it exist in the 'real' world too.Granted, afew years ago,I even had a friend who paste pictures of before and after of Lindsay Lohan(she used to be healthy and then skinny) on her desk to motivate her to lose more weight(didn't matter the fact that she wasn't even overweight!).

But then again you just have to ask..Why do these girls who are not overweight in the first place, feels the need to lose more weight?A friend of mine that I mentioned above whom had problems with her hormones, was hurt over the remark of a former friend over her weight and that sparked off the whole obsess with her weight thing but even a year after that remark, she still had problems with her eating habits.Does it mean that once you start to lose weight 'unhealthily' you find it hard to be healthy again?Or does it all stem from insecurity and lack of self esteem? It is something to ponder about.Early this semester,I also started to lose weight a after 2 of my guy friend said that I have started to look chubbier. But I didn't stop eating,I just exercise my ass off, doing Mari Windsor's Pilates everyday. But I haven't done so in over 2 months and have been eating too much 'bad' foods and yeah,I have gain a few pounds now.I know that as long as I get back on the right track and exercise more, the pounds will come off.So here's a toast in being healthy!

Pikuniku!!!!

Last week,on Wednesday morning me and my friends had a picnic together...It was an occasion that was planned weeks ago but due to the fact that everyone of us was busy and the dates clashed and recent 'hot' events happened(ahakzzz)..we finally manage to get everyone together for a of fun under the sun..Initially it was supposed to be a roadtrip to PD but that didn't turn out as planned as well,so we head over to Putrajaya instead....Didn't matter where the place was as long as all of us are together..it'll be a fun,fun time!!!Plus the fact that next semester Izza won't be around since she'll be studying in Australia for student exchange programme...sob sob...

We're suppose to go at exactly 6.30 a.m..But you know boys right??One particular boy,who asked me to wake him up...whom I miscalled & text twice asking him to wake up and then when I went to Izza's & Tatie's house with Nad & me arriving at the same time with our cars..I called him again so many bloody time & while I drove to Chip,Jeng,Acad,Moja & Azri's house in Suria,Izza called him on my cell but still no answer..

And then after that he called me sayin that he haven't cooked the 'savory' food that he was suppose to cook yet(each one of us have to bring food that we cooked ourselves..though Nad bought delicious Nasi Lemak..yay!!And Acad..well...Acad bought his Boro which we fed to the fishes in the lake..muahahhah) and I was like...takyah masak bwk tikar jer...hahaha..Yesh the culprit is Mr.Freaky..aka Firdaus Putra our beloved Ethos president ...was the reason why I didn't get to watch the sunrise during the picnic because all of us went at exactly 7.30 am instead!
In my car was Freaky,Izza,Acad & Jeng.While in Nad's car was Azri,Chip,Moja & TatieIn the car..as I played my favorite cd's,Izza requested for the 'kong-kong' song...hurmpphh...

Basically, the 'kong-kong' song is Hao Xin Fen Shou sung by Wang Lee Hom & Candy which I memorise the lyrics and even know the meaning of the song & I love the song and even blog about it in my FS blog last year but when Izza & Tatie listen to it in my car when we go out, they'll mock the chorus part and started calling the song the 'kong-kong' song..huhuhu.....
So Freaky,Acad,Izza & Jeng also started to mock all the Cantonese,Hokkien & Mandarin songs that I play in my car that morning...huhuhu...
The start of a great day!! That's me driving with the latecomer next to me..

What they did at the back while I was driving...Acad&Izza the camwhores!!!

We stopped halfway at Putrajaya cos I don't remember the way...hence..since all of us are camwhores....Even the drain becomes a place to take photos..tsk2...

So we finally found the place & proceed to lay the tikar and ate breakfast..Took more pictures...

And played a little bit of Uno..

And took more pictures....

Since it was getting hotter the peeps suggested Alamanda and I asked Freaky to drive my car as a punishment and he even drove when we went back to Shah Alam & fill the tank with his money..hahaha..

At Alamanda,we walked around to cool down from the heat...and then played at the arcade..I can still hear Moja's scream when he played Daytona(mmg sah2 xpernah drive!!), and the 3 girls screaming during Daytona too..I played the dance off with Freaky(mmg laa kalah!!Dia terror!!!).Jeng,Azri& Acad also played the Dance game.

After Alamanda...the peeps want to find a place for us to take pictures some more...

I am soooo going to miss you guys during this semester break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Till next time.....hopefully we'll see each other at Roxy's Summer Splash or my birthday bash(crossing everything and hope that it'll happen!) or Izza's send off....Love you guys----Izza,tatie,freaky,acad,moja,nad,chip,jeng & azri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
