Can't stop listening to the song Sedetik Lebih sung by Anuar Zain from the much awaited movie from KRU Production Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa. The song is just so beautiful that it's my caller ringtone right now.hehe

The lyric is just so lovely. There's an English version as well titled The Memory Remains(i think) which I've read the lyric but haven't listened to it yet.But I prefer the lyric of the Malay version.

Welcome to the family!










The title was the line that Hayley uttered to us last night at Paramore Live In KL!!!It was hella of a good time..I sang and scream my lungs out and my hair was all over the place..ahaha

When I was 19 years old,this guy that I was pretty close with was obssesed with Hayley Williams & he will always make such a big hype about it on Friendster(ahaha..soo don't have an account there anymore!).Because he made such a big hype about it,I just didn't even want to know who Paramore was.Fast forward to a year later,my friend Tatie played a couple of their songs while I slept over at her place & I was instantly hooked!After that,my affair with Paramore songs began...

I don't think there was ever a time in a week whereby I didn't listen to their songs..My friends and I love them.I identified with some of their songs and played their cds over and over again while driving.

I was super estatic when they came to Malaysia & there was no FREAKING WAY I was going to miss the concert.No way!!!!So I bought the tickets weeks before & although last night the sound system was pretty off at times but since I sat right behind the rock zone(the 268 seats),there was no problem in hearing the band..

I sang to almost all of the songs & screamed my lung out during Emergency,Pressure,Misery Business(the last track & my fave track!!!),Decode,Crush x3,Ignorance,& many2 more..Got all emotional during The Only Exception..T_T...I was so happy when they played 'When it rains'..though I was a bit disappointed that they didn't play Fences or Let the flames begingone of my fave song too!).

Overall,I love it & hopefully they'll come back in years to come & rock on again!:))

Paramore was INSANELY AWESOME!!

Blogging from the workplace.Haven't been able to go online for 2 days!warghhh!Will update with a few posts today..The Paramore concert was awesome aside from the sucky sound system..Can't believe the band whose songs that I have been listening to all this while during uni time,the songs that I sang & memorize the lyrics too,and the ones that I listen to a lot while driving & angry...ahaha..The songs that my friends & I like Izza,Tatie & Ella sang to while in the car or at their houses.

Man,last night sure brought a lot of memories and a lot of my friends were there although we bought different tickets so we didn't get to sit with each other which was a bit sad cos while I was screaming to the songs,they weren't next to me..ahh the perils of being busy with our lives now...

Izza bought the rock zone tix along with Ella.While Tatie,Nad & Acad & a bunch of my seniors bought the rm98 tix.I was at the rm268 seats with my friends.It was AWESOME & I was jumping up & down singing to all the songs that I know by heart.After the show all of us meet up & we were drenched in sweat..ahaha.Will update more tonight!!:)

K-Pop crazy again--Big Bang & 2NE1

Early this year I was bitten by the K-Pop wave when I watched Big Bang peformed on tv..Previously I was only a fan of Korean tv series but never the music.But after watching Big Bang performed live on a Korean awards show,I was hooked & became obssessed with T.O.P from Big Bang.I became fans of 2NE1 when they collaborated with Big Bang on the song Lollipop.

Today I suddenly wanted to watch new 2NE1 video's which made me watched new Big Bang videos as well.I love 2NE1 because they have real hot looking bodies(ie not usual Korean stick thin) & they dress & dance with an EDGE & they look TOUGH!Super cool!

AAR (All American Rejects)

AAR came and rock Malaysia again last Saturday night and I was there along my 4 other friends(Izza,her sis Izrin,Ella & Acad),right after Readings@SEKSAN. We came just in time when the 1st opening act, Disagree was about to play.Pop Shuvit,One Buck Short(Mookie was in the hospital though),Liyana Fizi,Sam Bunkface and the dude from Gerhana Ska Cinta performed.Some lame dance comp thingy that the dj’s of Fly Fm did on stage.

Managed to push ourselves through the crowd,thanks to El’s wisdom..lols.Waited AAR to come on stage for about 50 minutes.Got into a tiff with some stupid first time concert goers..Word of advice,lame people who are afraid of getting packed like sardines,sweaty,pushed around and etc,don’t go to concert! They left even before AAR came on stage..losers!Oh,smoking during a concert is SO not cool.It’s hard enough for us to breath due to lack of space+BO=lack of oxygen.

Tyson with his native American head gear & glittery arms came on stage and they rocked the house.He is just as energetic and fun and campy and awesome!!!It was worth the wait.I love love his performance.Met a lot of cool guys during the concert.Some very cute ones,like the Thai dude with the big hair that obstructed Izza’s view—lolss,the cute brother who hold his lil’ sis on his shoulder(wonder how the lil girl who looked 7 or 8 years old,managed to get in?) or the bunch of guys when we were behind us who shouted in a exaggerated gedik way--‘We love you tyson’..hahaha and they memorized all the lyrics yo!When the concert was about to end,we suddenly got thrown with glitter coming out of nowhere..bahaha.

After the concert ended,because we were way in front,on the way out,saw a lot of familiar faces.The people from Readings were there too,said hye,took some pics.Met some of my seniors & colleagues as well.All the pics are in Ella’s camera thus I don’t have it with me.

Perdana Discourse Series

This was my 2nd time going to the discourse series.My first one was about 3 years ago and I remembered the topic was about education and Tun Dr.M had a lot more to talk about it since his well verse in that topic.This time around we could sense that the topic was not really his cup of tea.

The topic this time around was The Role of Women and Youth in National Development.The panel of speakers was Dina Zaman, Tengku Zafirul and others that I can’t remember because the brochure & bag that I got is in the trunk of my car..am too lazy to take it out..ahaha.
Izza went too although initially,it was for PART 8 students who took Professional Development but because there were many empty seats available,it was opened to others as well at the last minute.So it was fun sharing the experience with Izza again because the first time that I went there was with her too.Want to blog more about it but this post is becoming too long.

I watched the much anticipated movie by Bernard Chauly a few days ago and it was light,funny and made me want to go on a cruise.I’ll give the movie 3 out of 5.:)..Maya Karin has a such a fit body & I wish I could be that diligent in working out--she has muscles man!

I thought that Faqir played by Shahredza Minhat is very very cute.I saw him in Impian and Mak(Farhana) said that he worked at Bank Negara cause she saw him & she has even served him rice before(long story..)..

Realization

The last day of my finals made me realize that..Hey,this your LAST finals EVER!After spending almost 5 years in UiTM—1 year for Pre-Degree TESL & 4 years of B.Ed TESL--,I’ve to say that it felt like a dream .It felt like only a while ago that I experience MMS,went for the Pre-TESL interview and many many great and not so great things happened in these past 4 years & ½...So many memories was posted on this blog and most of it is tuck safely in my memory.

I only have to do my practicum left, and that scares me for a number of reasons that only my close friends knows why..huhuhu.This hols won’t be much of a holiday cos’ will be busy with Willow,helping my mum run errands and drive her here and there, & I’m hoping that my dad will allow me to go camping with some friends too. Believe it or not,I actually love it because I have an excuse not to bathe during camping(the last time I went,I didn’t bathe for 2 days..hahaha) and not have to primp or wear makeup because I primp myself everyday..gahahaha.

Will be abandoning this blog for a couple of days,1 week tops, because there’s so much to be done,things to do,buy,fitness(lolsss),and lots of sleeping.:)Byeee!!

Ultimate Shout Award!


Woot,Bunkface won 3 awards at lastnight Shout! Awards.The Rockstar,Breakthrough & the best is of course the Ultimate Shout award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I still remember when I actually met,talked,starred in their Situasi vid clip in THIS past blog post thanks because of their nice manager who texted me about it..huhuhu.They were a bunch of humble,crazy,fun & friendly people & they serve us mee hoon & sarsi...hahahaha.

I like Paan eventhough he’s so tiny & cute(actually,all of them are but meeting them in the flesh,the skinniest has to be Paan & Sam), because when he perform on stage he likes to make this crazy faces & his shoes(during Situasi taping) was uber cool!

Glad to see that they’re becoming more and more well known now what with last night award,Channel V thing & singing the song for Star Movies..I still remember back when I watch their cute Silly Lily video clip & laughed out loud & I was like..these guys are fun!:)I hope they’ll stay the same & be as crazy & humble people that they are towards their fans..

Their performance that night was so cute because of the 3 kids& Paan made his 'tiger'(something that happened during Situasi taping) face while performing...hehehe.I miss watching them perform live..haih....Been missing out on a lot of Bunkface gigs although the friends/ultimate Bunkface fans that I met during the taping of Situasi have been going to all of their gigs(dieorg mmg gigih giler!) & asking to come here & there but something always clash with it..sighhh

My hp has been fixed & now I can finally cam whore again!!!Below,trying out a subtle cat's eye look..ehehe.Yes my lips are that small..T_T but it's highly prize in China back in the olden days...hahaha.

I'm obsessed with the Wonder Girls!!!They are currently the opening act for Jonas Brother's concert tour in the States!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm kind of jealous,but it's such an amazing feat since they came all the way from Korea.Here's some vid clips from Youtube of 2 of their performance at the Jonas Brother's concert in Portland(heard they'll be in Illinois next!).

I've been a big fan of Regina Spektor for the past 4 years & I've even blog about her on several occasions.I just love her voice & the fact that she likes to do a lot with it(listen to her songs & you'll get what I mean) and the fact that she can play many instruments & she wrote most of her songs.

Remember I blog about them back in November in this post....

Of course now I'm a bigger fan than I was back then..teeheee..^_^And Fine is still my fave song.huhu.

The title above of course refers Bunkface's most well-known Malay song,'Situasi'.Which actually,was first written in English,titled(duh!),Situation. I kept listening to the song almost everyday,last year and a few days ago,I was offered a chance to be in their videoclip for the song 'Situasi' along with other fans of theirs & of course,I just couldn't pass it up.So I asked a friend who is so obssesed with that song,that she uses the lyrics in her daily conversation,to join me.

For example:


Subject A: (comes up quietly from behind me)....Diskriminasi,menjatuhkan aku(ala2 bersyair/berceramah)..Reputasi pula(ini die tambah) menjadi bisu...Dan aku,aku layu!----LOLLLLLLLLLL

So,naturally,I have to invite Izza(ooopsie!!) to go with me!!I've a presentation to do for my 8.30am class which starts in a few hours so,I'll elt the pictures to do the talking!

Today after tutoring the boys,I felt like reading a book of poems or quotes.Since Ms.Sal's book collection is pretty extensive,borrowed one from her,titled The Sweetness of Honey and The Sting of Bees,A Book of Love from the Ancient Mediterranean by Michelle Lovric & Nikiforos Doxiadis Mardas(ini nama sebenar die..bukan olok2..hahaha).

The book of love poems/quotes from Greek gods to philosophers were divided into 13 chapters of poems/quotes + 2 chapters on Love & Gods/Poets.The poem below is in the Beautiful Loved One chapter--this is under the 'True love is blind' part.You'll understand why it is so if you read the one below...;)

A swarthy one is "honey colored",

A foul and filthy one is "au naturelle"...

A stringy and wooden one is a "gazelle",

A squat dwarf is "one of the Graces" and "full of wit",
A monstrous huge one is "phenomenal" and "full of grandeur",

If she stammers and can't speak,"she has a charming lisp"'

A mute one is "shy",

A shameless,hateful chatterbox is "a little cracker:,

One who looks starved to the point of death is "a slender sweetheart".......

One with a fat lip is "all kiss"

Reading the one above,I can't help but laugh and thought of how true it is when a person is blinded by love,they tend to only see the good in everything that their beloved does.Sadly enough,it has never happen to me(but I don't wish for it to happen anytime soon actually..love is a distraction for me right now..hahaha).
The other one that I really like is this poem...
It's under the Seduction chapter....*blush*
