That time that I got dengue.

I'm 29 years old and I have never been hospitalized..until about 2 weeks ago. It's so weird because I never thought that I would ever be the kind person who would be bitten by an aedes mosquito. Hubs and I live in Shah Alam where it's one of the cleanest city in Selangor..we figured out that it must have been the clogged drain outside of our house where we park our car. Bullocks!

As you know,earlier this year I had a miscarriage. It was horrible mentally and physically. But I've to tell you, dengue was much more horrible. One night at the hospital, I felt like I was going to die..yes it was that horrible.

I was having fever right after Raya Haji and thought it was like any other normal fever. But then I experienced chills, body ache, I was puking,shivering..funny thing was..I didn't experience any rashes or spots on my body.

The worse part was that my dearest husband got dengue at the same time as me! That bloody mosquito bit me then bit him. Also, my father in law got it a few days after us.. It was horrible!!

All three of us got admitted to DEMC. I stayed there for 6 days! My mother in law and sisters in law was running around helping us as..I couldn't take care of my husband while he couldn't take care of me. It was quite sad as well. But our rooms were near to each other.

My husband and father in law was at the High Dependency Unit while I was at the normal ward, the same floor as them. This was because when we were admitted, my husband's platelet count was very low while my father in law had low blood pressure. The funny thing was that my husband ended up leaving the hospital one day earlier than me!

I had to stay an extra day because the dengue affected my liver. T_T

It was just such a horrible experience that I don't wish on anyone.

I haven't blogged in more than a month because I've been so busy with work and life in general. I actually took a ton of photos of my liquid lipstick collection but I haven't edited them. I will try to blog more. The busier I get, the less time I have to update this blog so I hope that people will understand :)
