BUSY222

Weekdays I am busy because my work starts at 8.45 and ends at 5.45.pheww..But so far it's a great experience.My workmates are fun and friendly.And so are the seniors and trainers.Haven't done anything fun lately cos been busy.

I am still pondering whether I should do my masters this semester or defer it & do it in the upcoming semester since I'm busy with work now.I want to adapt to it first and not do two things at once & risking spreading myself too thin.

Haven't had the time to even go out with the boyf as at night all I want to do is sleep..hehe.The only thing I did recently was went to his football match Sunday evening and that was that..Sigh.I miss your hugs & kisses!:P

Finished reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks but haven't got the time to blog about my review on it yet.Want to watch Toy Story 3 and Sex & The City 2 so badly but have no time to do so...weekdays are busy!!

I vow to start going to the gym since my workplace has a fully equipped one..so cool!We can use it for free!!Now I've no excuse to not be fit anymore..hehe.Oh,did I mention that the dress code for my workplace is smart casual?Yeah!!We can wear jeans!!woohooo..They change the dress code like two years ago..

Plus,there's a karaoke room,foosball,pool table & PS3 at the entertainment center which me & my workmates use during our lunch break.In fact I just sang a few songs at work today..ahaha.And my friends taught me how to play pool!

The only downside is that my hp has to be silent during working hours.Thus,can only check my hp during lunch break..:(

Okay,toodles.Am so tired,& I want to go home & sleeeppppp..Blogged this while at my aunt's house...So need to buy broadband because I need my internet!

Retail Therapy--the best form of therapy..ahaha

Man I haven’t really shopped in a long time...As in buying lots of things at once.I am not the kind of person who shops every week but when I do shop,I buy things in quantities.hehe. When I shop,I don’t like just buying one measly thing.I must atleast buy a few things.Like what’s the point of shopping if you don’t buy lots of things..what’s the fun in that?Okay I sound like such a bimbot now.muahaha.

I mean,I didn’t even shop for my trip to Tioman except for a pair of skinny and a top(of which I haven’t worn yet cos’turns out it’s not really beach wear so I didn’t bring it to Tioman..bwahaha) & toiletries shopping—boy do I love beauty products!

Anyhoo,went to shop twice with my mum and my brothers these past few days.Once at the Amcorp Flea market and another at Sungei Wang--cos’ my 2 lil’ brothers have been pestering me to take them there since forever..muahaha).I’m very very happy with my purchases.

Funny story,almost got lost along the way to Sungei Wang but due to Izza giving me directions over the hp & coincidentally she was there as well—I managed to arrived there safely & even waved at Izza who was eating at the restaurant there..Sorry babe couldn’t hang out—busy with the family.:)

BUT I still haven’t found the right vintage medium size belt—I’m sooo over the huge belt/cincher fad.Now I want to either buy a vintage looking skinny or medium belt,in black.Akin to the one that Izza’s mum has which is just so simple & chic & I’ve borrowed it a couple of times..hehe.Loves it!

Above is a pic of some of the things that I bought recently(not in the picture—a deep grey cardy with pearl buttons—soo comfy & cute & is in the washing machine, and a pretty green tiered top which my nenek loves me wearing it..hehe).Along with a bag,a few accessories,I bought the book by Nicholas Sparks,The Last Song and a sketch of one of my favourite actress,Audrey Hepburn.:)

On another note,I’m dying for new shoes..preferably a chic and sturdy wedges since my sayang is much taller than me..haha.And a few ballet flats too since 3 of my Cotton On is already in tatters—I guess that’s why they’re so cheap??

I also need a semi-formal pair for work.Sigh.Work.boohoo.Welcome to the real world Liyana.:(

FINALES--beware:lots of spoilers!

Ever since I submitted my thesis,I have been catching up on a lot of my fave tv series,thanks to the help of fast fast torrent download.:)

So,I will keep my review on the finales of some of the series that I have been following quite faithfully,short.Since I finished watching some of the series like a month ago,I’m blogging from my latent memory,sorry if I got some things jumbled up and not in order..I don’t feel like watching so many episodes all over again just to blog about it.haha.

GOSSIP GIRL-season 3

To sum it up—I hate Chuck & Jenny.I mean,readers of the Gossip Girl books(I read it back in high school) know that Jenny will eventually get out of Constance & have her own life (the book was named the It Girl—BLEARGHHH) so maybe,maybe they eventually decided that Taylor Momsen will be cut from the show?Those gnarly hair extensions of hers has got to go!

And Chuck,oh stupid Chuck.People can’t survive on love alone.Just because Blair loves you so much,doesn’t mean that what you did to her is forgivable—practically sold her to your uncle and then slept with a 16 year old after you planned on proposing to her.WTF!!

Man do I feel for Blair.But yeah,what will happen to Chuck?I don’t think he’ll be dead though.And the whole Serena + Dan thing is soooo tiresome.Really.Can you please like find new hot guys for both Blair & Serena?And Nate,becoming another Chuck..like seriously?Sigh.

The whole Georgina carrying Dan’s child—can you say ick?And I know Gossip Girl is known for their fashion but seriously—what’s up with Serena’s outfit to the hospital???That’s like wayyyy too much for just going to the hospital!Did you looked at her outrageous Louboutins? Hehe.Loved her earrings though!I know Blake got those implants of hers recently but does she have to exposed them in like every episode?tsk2.

I just hope that the 4th season of Gossip Girl won’t suck!

GLEE-season 1,2nd half.

The second half of the 1st season is just FANTASTIC!From Madonna,to Gaga to Neil Patrick Harris(he loves magic—shown in HIMYM a few times & he showed it his magic chops in GLEE too!) to the hilarious Olivia Newton John vid with Sue Sylvester,GLEE brought it home & showed people why it’s THE tv show to watch nowadays.

In my opinion,Sue Sylvester has got to have some of the best lines in the series.Her insults are so meticulously thought off.ahaha.I love her many many jokes on Will’s hair.

My favourite performance this time around has got to be when all the boys sang the song Beth by KISS,aside from Bad Romance,Hello(that was an amazing duet!And Jesse & Rachel are best friends in real life since they were in high school.) and Like A prayer and Neil Patrick & Will audition face off.

It was soooo sweet when Finn said ‘ I love you’ to Rachel before they performed at Regionals.awww..And Sue actually voted 1st place for them.I love it when she announce the runners up and she said ‘the not so stupidly name Aural Intensity’—LOL.Aural Intensity—REALLY??

I was so so damn jealous of the audience in the auditorium—how amazing is that being able to witness one of the best tv performance ever,live on stage?argghh!!
I hope for better and brighter things for season 2 & please please let them win in the next season.Oh did you know that Artie and that Asian girl actually is a real life couple?How sweet!

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER-season 5

This season,more celebs guest starred on the show from Jennifer Lopez to Tim Gunn to Rachel Bilson.To me,you can learn A LOT about relationships from this show.Or what not to do atleast,in Barney’s case.ahaha.

I love the episodes about the fact that the ‘mother’ is actually the roommate of a girl(Rachel Bilson’s character whom I forgot her name) that Ted used to date but he didn’t know it at that time and the one when Ted bought the run down house which is actually the house that he is telling his kids about how he met their mother.awwwwwwwwwwwwww...:)

Or the one whereby Ted’s past love life with Stella was made into a movie by her husband& it sooo wasn’t true since the real story was twisted.Imagine if that happened to you!I love love the musical episode too!!

Don is a dick!Robin should have told him that she forgo the job over him but he didn’t!I thought she’d end up with him..:(

In this season we found more about the characters like about Lily’s dad and the fact that all of them are smokers!wtf!ahaha.Hopefully in season 6,we’ll get a little closer in finding out who the mother will be.:)

90210-season 2


Can somebody please kill Annie?I really don’t like her!And seriously—her & Liam???ewwwwww.

I have to say that the finale for 90210 sort of sucked!What the hell will happen in season 3?

Teddy & Silver aren’t together anymore.Ivy & Dixon will be going to Oz for the summer,I guess.Dixon & Annie’s parents marriage are in shambles.God,the drama was just painful to watch,not that I feel for them but it’s like having a toothache. Did Liam kill that crazy dude?What will happen to Naomi since it looks like Mr.Cannon will rape her since no one will be able to save her.Mr.Cannon is a devil!

I’m happy for Adriana & Navid but it’s like watching Haley & Nathan in OTH all over again when Haley had to choose between singing and her marriage.I’ve no idea what will happen in season 3 but with that stinker of a finale,I hope 90210 won’t lose its viewers in the new season.They seriously need to revamp it and bring new faces to the show!And kill Annie!Thank you.haha.

Thinking

I'm the kind of person who can think for hours on end about something and then continue to think about it some more even as I'm walking,driving or eating or whatever that I do.

After 5 years of being a student of UiTM,me & my friends didn’t have the privilege of going on a vacation together and I thought,why not go since after this everybody will be busy with work,pursuing their masters or maybe even building their own family.BUT unfortunately due to clash of dates and lack of funds,only 7 of my friends managed to get on board and head over to Tioman and stayed at Sun Beach Resort.

Initially we(me & Izza who planned it) wanted to get Panuba Inn and I tried calling them and make a reservation but since it’s school holiday,they were fully book and they were only available rooms from 31st May-3rd June, and sadly during that time the list of people going on the trip wasn’t confirmed yet.So I search and search the Ping Anchorage website & found Sun Beach resort.E-mailed them and after a few exchanges, Izza took after ,since I had no internet access for 1 day and she also bought us bus tickets & deposited money to the resort.

FYI,each of us paid rm60 for the bus tickets and rm335 each for the 3 days 2 nights package at Sun Beach.I advice you guys to bring atleast rm100 or more while staying in Tioman for other things like food(although it is in the package,you might want to snack or whatever),souvenirs,Marine Park entrance(rm5 each) and renting the snorkelling + life jacket gear(rm18 each).

DAY 1

Arrived at Bukit Jalil bus station about 30 minutes earlier courtesy of the boyfriend who drove me there,but he had to make 2 U-Turns since we were not familiar with the area.We were almost left by the bus driver since our bus tickets was with Izza but all was well when she came at the very last minute.hehe

The bus left at about 9.15 am and there was only 2 stops on the way to Mersing.The journey took about 4 hours.We took a cab from the Mersing Bus Station to the jetty which is rm10.At Mersing, we ate lunch at this cafe of which I forgot it’s name but has festive pirates decor and you won’t miss it since it’s directly next to the Mersing Jetty.Excellent food which is worth its prices since it’s a bit expensive than other places.

Our ferry arrived at 4.30 and around 6 pm we were at Kampung Genting,Tioman.
Checked in at Sun Beach,left our bags,change clothes and went to the beach to take pictures and then straight to dinner.After dinner we walked around the village and then went to bed.

DAY 2

Woke up to a hearty breakfast and then we were off to Rengis for snorkelling.I managed to face my fear of death by drowning since I was traumatised when I almost drowned in Langkawi years ago.My friends did not know this at the time(they do now!) because I didn’t want them to stop me from joining them.

At first I was dead scared when I was actually in the sea but thanks to Nad,Izza,Fifi,Tatie & Ejam who helped me on the sea(Azri & Ella was off doing their own thing)I managed to actually make 1 whole round the island!!WOOHOO!!Hats off to me for conquering my fears although I ended up almost choking on sea water twice when I accidentally breathe through my nose while snorkelling.

Both of my armpits was painfully chaffed since the lifejacket bit into my skin while I swam in the sea.It was so damn painful man when I put aloe vera gel(which I bought to the island along with 3 sunblock which still made me turn black!damn!) afterwards!
Thankfully while I’m blogging this,the scar has healed nicely..phew---if not,bak kata boyfriend sy yg jahat,for each scar that I have,duet hantaran kene kurangkan..-___-.

At the Marine Park we had packed lunch and then off to duty free where I bought Jelly Belly gourmet jelly beans which were far cheaper than in Shah Alam & had many many cool flavours like Toasted Marshmallow,Choc Pudding,Island Punch and even Buttered Popcorn.I will only eat Jelly Belly jelly beans or no jeally beans at all.All of the other jelly beans just can’t compare!:PAlso bought a shirt for the boyf there.:)

Went back to Sun Beach and all of us took a little nap.Of which Ejam(izza’s teman tapi mesra) didn’t sleep and instead went online & told my boyfriend about it.Which resulted in a hilarious phone conversation with him since he mocked me for sleeping on vacation.haha.

After going online for a bit thanks to Ejam's laptop, I thought that I wanted to snorkel with Ejam & Izza but couldn’t find em’ at the beach after I went to my room to get my things..ahaha.Went back to the room & had a heart to heart about racy stuffs with the other 5 friends of mine.Like what I wrongly said, ‘What stays in the room,stays in the room(which should have been ‘What was said in the room..’)

Had a sumptuous and stomach bursting BBQ dinner afterwards & then all of us buried Ella underneath a pile of sand.(Pics from that night is in El’s camera).Bought a few stuffs to bring home at the shops nearby and I bought this cool plain dark brown thick wood bangle(miss my green thick wood bangle which a friend broke) & a tie dye shirt for myself.

Afterwards we watched this crazy movie OTIS which had a cool creepy opening scene but a stupid ending which made it not worth the fact that we slept very late to watch it.

DAY 3

Woke up and all of us didn’t bathe(because we plan to swim in the sea afterwards) and brushed our teeth,went for breakfast.Played a few silly games while we were in the sea and it was fun waiting for the waves to crushed us..ahaha.Wish we could have taken pics of the fun we had there though..:(

Lunch afterwards at this super busy cafe which did not have enough people to help them causing us to get our food like 1 hour late.We didn’t complain because the people who were running the place is a family and the waitresses were their little daughters and plus the chef(the dad) was actually the one who drove our speed boat to all 3 destinations the day before.

While waiting for the ferry at the jetty we had a touching moment with Abg Syam(one of the workers at Sun Beach) whom was tormented by us for many reasons..one of the biggest one is of course Izza who probably made him feel like one big joke(I'm kidding!).

Hot Springs

Who would have thunk it that deep in the middle of nowhere,which is Felda Trolak,Perak,lies a beautiful hot springs and spa place.I went there a few weeks ago with my former lecturer,Ms.Salliza and her parents who came all the way from Kuching,Sarawak.I never thought I would enjoy myself at first because as we all know,Malaysian weather is already so hot so why would people relax themselves at a hot spring?But still I went because I’m always ready for a trip!

My perception was shattered once we set foot there. It was beautiful. Especially the villas for rent there and it is expensive if you do choose to rent –600-1000 per villas and get this, it was fully book until Fasting month! How do I know this? Because we asked,duh!ahaha.It’s rm10 per adult for the entrance fee.You get this armband sticker thing to wear.There were buses of people there.Especially the Chinese.I guess they know about the health benefits of the hotspring.

I walked 11 times(I got addicted to the pain cos’ I know it did my body & feet good!) on this long and hot reflexology walk(pic above)at the Therapeutic Park that was made out of small pebbles and running hot water. Other big males who sat foot on it was ouching away as they can’t stand walking on the walk. I guess all those years of wearing high heels have prepared me for that walk and I actually like it.Although the day after,both of my foot was a bit painful.ahah.Ah,the price of beauty.

The hotsprings was great too. I soaked myself in the medium pool which was at 30-40 celcius.While I merely dipped my feet at the super hot spring and I had to take out my feet after a few minutes.And you can only soak in the hot pool for 30 minutes and not more because it is stated on the board that it’s not good for your health. There were quite a number of hotsprings that was categorized according to it’s level of hotness(pardon the pun!).Some people were boiling eggs at one of the hottest springs.


There is also this huge swimming pool/oasis for people to bathe that was filled with warm water.

I actually enjoyed my time there and yeah,my body felt a lot lighter after soaking in the various hotsprings.I actually want to go there again and this time I’ll bring my family because it’s very good for your health.And no,the hot water from your water heater/tub is not the same thing as going there.

Carpe diem!

Well,well..ahaha..What have I been up to?Plenty! And of which I’ll update in posts to come..:)

I have decided that IF I get accepted to do my Masters at my uni,I’ll work as well.I went to the interview because they actually gave offer letters to me and my colleagues while other people had to apply for it.So although initially I only wanted to work and not do my Masters first,BUT because the opportunity came and I thought,why not.

This is for my future and actually I even thought about my future children future’s..phew that’s a mouthful! People might see me from the outside as being aloof and fun-loving but actually I am ambitious and I know what I want out of life.

I want to get my Masters and then Phd.Because let’s get real,a degree is something common nowadays. A lot of people have a degree.Having Masters or Phd separates us from the others.I want to have a bright future and help lessen the burden of my parents.Being able to give them some money every month from my own pay will make me feel a bit more accomplish in life.:)

Thus,let’s do this.I’ll work and study too.Life is short so I want to make use fully every opportunities that I get!!!
