Hello 2017!(4 months too late)
I haven't blogged in a longggg time.There's so many posts of mine that is in draft mode.
I've been working for a media science agency since middle of last year and it's a breath of fresh air but it also means that I'm really really busy during weekdays. Even on weekends i'm busy going here and there.
This blog has always been about the things that I like but I haven't voice my opinions and thoughts about anything in a long time as well.
I'm trying to find the mood to blog again. Hey, if the super busy Vivy Yusof can do it..why not me?
I love making lists. So I thought that I'll list down in this posts about things that I want to talk about.
1. Donald Trump is the President of the United States.
I still can't believe that this happen. It's sad to be honest..because he like to spew hate and the people just eat it up. It's crazy that a few years ago, my parents & I watched the first season of The Apprentice and we loved it. To me, Donald Trump is a reality tv star who somehow managed to be come the President of America.
It's frightening because he's clearly not fit to become a president..you can browse his past tweets on Twitter to know what I mean. All the bridges that he's burning..here's praying that there won't be a WWIII.
2.Netflix in Malaysia.
Last year when Netflix finally hit our shores, it was pretty boring. I felt that it was because my friend have the US version of Netflix (superrr awesome)and there's wayyyy more shows on it. But i've subscribed to it for..5 months now and I love it.
I've watched Stranger Things,Black Mirror,The OA, Thirteen Reasons Why,Terrace House, Chef Steps and many moreee. It's pretty cheap as well and I like that I can watch it anywhere. On my phone, tv or my laptop. Very convenient!
3.Online shopping
I kid you not..every month I spend my money online compared to offline. From international sites such as ASOS,Colourpop,Beautybay,Shopbop to our local ones like Tesco,Honestbee,Zalora and Nelissa Hilman. It saves time especially for people who ain't got time to shop leisurely at the malls.
Recently I discovered the beauty and comfort of Nelissa Hilman's shoes. I got hooked and i've bought a pair a month for three months in a row now. haha. They're well made, the service is very good (order today, get it tomorrow) and they're so comfy! I'm not ashamed to admit that I rarely buy local goods. But with Melissa, I keep coming back again and again. I already have my eye on what pair of shoes to purchase next.
I also found out about Honestbee. Where I can shop for groceries online from one of my favorite, Ben's Independent Grocer. I wanted to buy groceries during lunch hour but didn't have much time so my colleague told me about Honestbee. I ordered on the same day and got my groceries 2 hours later. So convenient!
The service was great as well. Usually when I buy from Tesco, if they didn't have a particular item in stock, they'd just bring me whatever they feel can replaced it. But with Honestbee, they texted me what items are OOS and give me suggestions. I called them and choose a different item and they were able to accommodate me.
Also, when my groceries arrived, I was surprised to see my frozen items in the plastic bag, sitting with a big bag of ice to preserve the items. A great touch! I'll definitely shop with them again!
4. Liquid lipsticks
Last year was the year of liquid lipsticks. I've bought soooo many..3-4 in a month. From Jeffree Star (they're being sold on BeautyBay--I don't dare to buy from insta etc cos there's lotsa fakesss out there) to Ofra, Milani,Tanya Burr, Colourpop..or even drugstore like Revlon and Silky Girl..I like to buy and try them all!
Even until now brands are still coming out with it. Like the recent Urban Decay Vice liquid lipsticks and Bobbi Brown came out with their own version..though I can't remember the name. I planned months back to review all of my liquid lipsticks collection..maybe soon I'll get to complete the posts.
5.Cooking/baking
If you've followed my blog from the beginning you'd know that I love to bake and cook. But because i'm so busy nowadays, I only get to cook a few days out of a week..and that's if i'm really lucky. But I did manage to try new recipes these past few months! See belowwww..
p/s:I update my instagram regularly, so you can see my cooking/baking there. I don't even tweet nowadays. I find it to be so irrelevant now.
I will try to blog more..but I can't promise! I've no idea if people still read my blog haha
