More bakes!!Extra:My haircare stuffs

I have been baking quite a lot these past few weeks.I baked Brooklyn Blackout cake,Bread and Butter pudding,Cheesecake Brownies and chocolate eclairs.I love baking and cooking as to me both activities are therapeutic and soothing.
First Brooklyn blackout cake I baked!
Second Brooklyn blackout cake cos the first one was a hit!
Moist and chocolaty\
Baked this Brooklyn blackout cake through the recipe from The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook.I actually baked this cake twice in two days because my family loved it.It is very moist and chocolaty.I won't share the recipe here since I got it from the book which I bought. You guys can get the book at Kinokuniya.:)

Out of the oven!
This Cheesecake brownies I have baked a few times in the past and is a fave of my friends and family..One of my recurring customers are Jezmine Blossom who even invited me to sell them at her previous Pre Loved sale at Old Blossom Box Store.I baked this for her last week!
Bread and butter pudding filled with chocolate chips & raisins
Bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce
Tried to make bread and butter pudding because I had a craving for it.I used a recipe I found online and if you google the recipe, all of it are pretty much the same.I added cocoa powder & chocolate chips to the mix to give it some chocolate flavour.
Before in the oven
It puffed up and become too big!Haha
Melted chocolate on the eclairs!
Bake chocolate eclairs for boyfriend's dad's birthday as this is his fave.I used this foolproof recipe from this old Japanese dessert cookbook which my mum have. The reason I rarely make this is because the pate a choux is very tiring to make as you have to use a lot of arm work.haha.I filled it with whip cream instead of the custard in the recipe because boyf's dad doesn't like custard in the eclairs thanks from the tip from boyf's lil sister.
What I use for my hair
I had a comment from a reader asking what I use for my hair as it is 'pretty and thick'..hehe.Well ever since I started coloring my hair in 2010,I make sure that everytime after I shampoo my hair,I follow it with a deep conditioner or hair mask.I haven't use the normal conditioner in a long time.

For shampoo I use a few different ones(the red, purple& turquoise) from Herbal Essences because they smell good and is good on my hair as well. Some of the deep conditioners I use are Herbal Essences long term relationship,Loreal Absolute Repair cellular in Lactic Acid and also Pantene Clinicare Frizz Defense.

I alternate between all of these but my main staple and also the cheapest is Herbal Essences split end mask. For hair serum I use Loreal Elseve for coloured hair & also Skin Food Argan Oil essence.I use only a tiny bit of either one after I blow dry my hair.

My tip to apply deep conditioner easier on your hair is that after you shampoo your hair, use a wide tooth comb(the one in orange in the picture above) to get rid of tangles gently and then get rid of excess water & apply & let it sit for 3 mins atleast & rinse.

Always use a good hair brush & also if you blow dry your hair everyday like me,make sure you use a hairdryer with ion because it doesn't dry out your hair. Also use a hair serum before and after you blow your hair.Hope this helps!:)

The.Avengers.Was.Awesome

What do you get when you put a bunch of superheroes altogether in one movie? You get one heck of an awesome movie that's what!I have been waiting for The Avengers movie to come out especially because I have watched ALL of the movies leading to it which is Iron Man,Iron Man 2,The Incredible Hulk,Thor and Captain America. And of course,if you wait until the end credits of each movie, you can see the sneak peek of the upcoming movie!

My boyfriend and I love to watch movies. We have watch so many movies to count and yes, usually I would have reviewed all of them but there's been so many that it's either I forgot or didn't have time.haha.

Some of the recent that we watched was Chronicles--super realistic & awesome,Battleship--awesome because full of action..but it's just that,an ACTION movie..note that I stress on the word 'action' so that other people won't try to make it into something else.Just enjoy the action part of it!:) & a few more.

Maybe one fine day I will blog finally about all of the movies I've watched this year. But that would be quite a long post.Okay I'm done side tracking. Will continue on my opinion of THE AVENGERS!

I freaking love it!!!There's humor, there's friendship, there's plenty of action(always good for me!) and there's Tony Stark!hahaha.Boyfriend bought the tickets online from GSC 5 days before the movie.Yes we were THAT excited.:P We watched the midnight movie right when it came out in Malaysia.

My two favorite superheroes are Tony Stark/Iron Man and Bruce Banner/The Hulk.Robert Downey Jr is of course awesome..duh!He has some of the best lines in the movie probably because he is a smart ass and super witty.Mark Ruffalo did a good job in replacing Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. He definitely injects fear in a lot of people in the movie.

One scene which involves Black Widow(whom I secretly wish I was..haha she's so cool!) and The Hulk, you can see fear in her eyes. One of the hilarious part was between The Hulk and Loki(the diva villain in this movie!) in Stark's tower. That was hilarious.

I have to bring some bad news...one of the characters in the movie passed away.I won't say who but it was very sad.The only recurring female character other than Black Widow is Pepper Potts. No Liv Tyler or Natalie Portman in the movie.Captain America was funny too because he has to adapt to his new environment after being frozen for 70 years!

One of the only superheros who can take down or almost at the same par as The Hulk is Thor.Well he is a 'god' anyway.Right when the movie was about to end I was a bit sad because it's like they had only begun.I want The Avengers 2 pretty please!!

For those who haven't watched the movie yet, wait until the end credits for Thanos, the villain whom my boyfriend says will appear in the Iron Man 3 OR The Avengers 2(please oh please come back I want more!).Also you guys will see Stan Lee's cameo in the movie..hehe.

So people, bring your family and friends to watch The Avengers because you're in for a ride!Below is the trailer from Marvel.

Chilli Rush-ing it

This is actually an overdue post since me & the boyfriend went there a few weeks back.:)

So,I have been hearing about Chilli Rush and I thought me & the boyfriend should give it a go and try it out.Plus I have eaten very spicy foods before so I was a bit ready.haha.

The spiciest dish I have ever tasted was when one day my late grandmother on my mother's side accidentally messed up her sambal tumis petai and it was super hot that my ears actually BUZZED.Yes it was THAT HOT that I could hear my ears was RINGING!

So I wasn't that scared going to Chilli Rush but I didn't want to numb my tastebuds either so I choose the number 6!The spicy chicken wings range from number 1-10.For more info you can go to their website HERE.

We ordered other dishes as well--caesar salad and their crispy squid & aubergine pasta. The salad was okay but the pasta was nothing to shout about. Now how about the chicken wings? It was quite spicy but not that spicy lah.

BUT the big issue which the boyfriend mentioned was that it wasn't tasty!Spicy dishes can be tasty if done well.So I wasn't sure if they were having an off day or something but it wasn't good and had a bitter aftertaste.Would we be coming back to Chilli Rush?Probably not.

Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23(with spoilers!)

Here's another favourite new tv series of mine and get this..the title of this new whip smart comedy is---Don't Trust The Bitch In Apartment 23.haha I tweeted about how I love the first 2 episodes and somebody asked me whether such series existed or not.I guess the title is a mouthful!

The comedy stars Krysten Ritter whom you've seen in Gilmore Girls,Confessions of a Shopaholic,Breaking Bad and many more. She plays Chloe, the 'bitch' in apartment 23 who likes to swindle people by pretending to be the perfect roommate candidate but as soon as you paid the money to become her roomie, she'll do anything to drive you out just to get the money.

But she met her match in June(played by Dreama) who came all the way from Indiana because of her job.On her first day,the company that she's working with was ruined due to embezzlement,so she had to work at a coffeehouse & lives at a new place, hence apartment 23.

Chloe is best friends with James Van Der Beek, who plays himself and is very hilarious.Especially since everyone he met kept calling him Dawson from duh,the old tv show--Dawson's Creek. Then there's also the weird asian neighbour named Robin who has a crush on Chloe.Chloe and June also has this perverted neighbour across from their kitchen window named Eli.

I have only watched two episodes since episode three was only aired today in the States, meaning I can download via torrent tomorrow. But judging from the first two episodes,I love it!It is different and smart and funny.

Chloe is outrageous. In the first episode, she walks naked around the house just to make Eli even more horny than he already is.Stole June's money to buy an Alexander MqQueen Bag.Slept with June's fiance on top of her birthday cake--but for good reason cos he's been cheating on her for years and she was trying to prove a point.

In the second episode, she sets up June with Scott, the perfect guy for her BUT...you have to watch it to see what happens!:)
